(Clearwisdom.net) On November 18, 2006, people from different communities in Seattle held a rally in Chinatown to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and to support 15 million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Participants called upon the Chinese people to say "NO" to the CCP and quit the party.

Mr. Zhou Zhaoliang, a democracy movement activist: "Through the wave of people quitting the CCP, I see the hope of China."

The rally was held in Chinatown at 11:00 a.m. The Divine Land Marching Band came from San Francisco to perform at the rally. Senator Ken Jacobsen from Washington State gave a speech to support the rally. The speakers, including volunteers from the Service Center for Quitting the Party, Falun Gong practitioners who had been tortured by the CCP in China, democracy movement activists and leaders of the local Chinese communities condemned the brutality of the CCP, and called upon Chinese people to quit the party.

Mrs. Liu, a Falun Gong practitioner who just arrived in the U.S.A., told the reporter that she had been jailed four times because she practices Falun Gong. She spoke about her experience of being tortured. Mrs. Liu said that the brutality of the CCP is hard to imagine. She called upon people to read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and recognize the evil nature of the CCP.

Huo Mingxue, a democracy movement activist, told of his experience of being jailed and tortured by the CCP. He said that the CCP has done a lot of bad deeds, and it will collapse soon.

Chen Zhiping, a representative from the Service Center for Quitting the Party in Seattle, said that the CCP is about to die. She called upon Chinese people to quit the party so that they can have a wonderful future. She also called upon those who have been persecuted by the CCP to stand up and say "NO" to the CCP.

A parade was held after the rally. The parade made two circles around Chinatown. After marching along the major streets through town, the parade ended at Westlake Plaza. Spectators were attracted to the performance by the Divine Land Marching Band. Many supported the activity and the withdrawals from the CCP.

Mr. Weng, an immigrant from Vietnam, said that the Communist Party is evil and brings disaster wherever it goes. He said that it is good that so many Chinese people have renounced it.

A woman from Washington was happy to see the parade. To her, it means that a lot of Chinese people have woken up.

A woman from the Philippines said that freedom of belief is a basic human right. She supports Falun Gong practitioners and condemns CCP brutality.
