My Understanding about "Breeding Demons in Your Own Mind"

(Clearwisdom.net) When I read "breeding demons in your own mind" in Zhuan Falun, my first thoughts were that Master was directing this to those fellow practitioners whose celestial eyes were open. I thought Master was telling practitioners to not allow interference from foreign messages no matter what was seen or heard, because they had open celestial eyes. Recently, I have come to a new understanding.

Master tells us that all matters within the scope of our dimensional field are controlled by our minds. If we do not handle things well, the phenomena of "breeding demons in your own mind" will occur, and a transformation will happen following our own thoughts. This point emphasizes the importance of righteous thoughts. Master stated:

"People who study human-body sciences have now discovered that a person's thoughts and brain activity can generate a type of matter. At high levels we can see that it really is a type of matter, but it turns out this matter isn't like the brain waves that we've now discovered with research. Instead, it takes the form of a complete human brain. The thing that ordinary people send out in their daily lives when they think is in the form of a human brain, but it disperses quickly since it doesn't have energy. But a practitioner's energy lasts much longer.". Buddha Image Consecration (Zhuan Falun, Fifth Talk).

We must correct every thought based on the Fa, even when we have peace of mind. Otherwise, any incorrect thoughts will breed demons or transform into tribulations. If our righteous thoughts are not strong enough, if we do not let go of our attachments, the evil will capitalize on this. The evil will say, "You still have human notions; you need help letting go of these attachments; you need help to improve." They will manifest evil surroundings and tribulations.

If practitioners are unable eliminate the attachment to money, the evil will persecute them by having them lose their jobs, live in poverty, or be too busy to making a living. If practitioners cannot let go of the attachment to sentimentality, the evil may fabricate a sentimental net to trap them. If practitioners cannot eliminate the attachment to illness, they will feel uncomfortable, or even become seriously ill. If practitioners cannot give up the attachment of fear, the evil will create an environment in which they feel severe pressure. They may hide at home and be unable to do what practitioners should do. Whatever attachments we have, the evil will create a corresponding environment.

Of course, we should deny all tests created by the evil. We do not acknowledge any tests. However, we should do well, and move forward wholeheartedly with righteous thoughts.
