Japan: Presenting the Beauty of Falun Dafa in Hiroshima

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 19, 2006, practitioners from Hiroshima Ken participated in the Misonou People Festival. The activity was held in Misonou District Civic Center and its surrounding places.

Misonou is a district of Hiroshima Ken (county). This year, the activities contain two parts. One was the Food Tasting event aiming to promote family vegetable gardens, fruit orchards and to enrich the local market. The other part is a talent show aiming to display rich and colorful art and cultural performances. Twenty four organizations and individuals participated in the talent show. Local residents performed the traditional "Money Drum" (a Japanese traditional music instrument that put coins inside bamboo to play) and "Taishiogoto" (Japanese harp with three to five strings). International students from Nepal performed Nepalese folk dances and students from Indonesia performed their native dance.

Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the five sets of exercises as traditional Chinese Qigong and performed a "Celestial Maiden"dance. The host introduced a brief history of Falun Dafa to the audience and mentioned a local Falun Dafa group practice site inside Misonou Civic Center established two years ago. When the demonstration started, peaceful music filled the hall. The slow and solemn movements as well as practitioners' peaceful appearance and calm hearts moved all in the audience. Many people began to follow the movements. In the "Celestial Maiden" dance, girls were dressed in colorful traditional Chinese costumes. Sometimes they are quiet like silent water and sometime like dancing butterflies. Their performance won warm applause and also brought people of Misonou and other areas the beauty of Falun Dafa.

Afterward, Falun Gong practitioners passed out small gifts to attendees. They were little paper lotus flowers with a small card printed "Falun Dafa is good" and "The world needs Truthfulness Compassion and Tolerance". Even it was only a small lotus flower, the people loved them very much. Practitioners also passed out flyers introducing Falun Dafa.
