(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Chris Bowen, Member of the Australian Parliament, recently became a member of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG). At a November 1 meeting in Parliament, he put forward the allegation of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) organ removal from living people and the independent investigation report from Mr. David Kilgour and Mr. David Matas. He called on the Chinese government to allow independent investigators to enter China to conduct investigations into the allegations, and called on the Australian government to support the investigation.

The CIPFG issued notice on October 20, 2006 to immediately organize a team to enter China to investigate the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, especially the CCP's organ removal from living practitioners. In the past several months, hundreds of political figures, lawyers, doctors, reporters and people from all circles across the world joined the CIPFG and wish to go to China to investigate. The notice pointed out that CIPFG was planning to organize sub-teams from different continents to investigate in China -- i.e., an investigation team from Australia, an investigation team from Asia, an investigation team from Europe, and an investigation team from North America. Each investigation sub-team has about 30 members, and is made up of current and former members of parliament and senators, attorneys, reporters, VIPs and doctors. Like the Hon. David Kilgour and Mr. David Matas, all members are volunteers, and they will conduct the independent investigation voluntarily without payment. The investigation priority includes forced labor camps, prisons, hospitals, and all relevant detention facilities in Mainland China.

Mr. Bowen said in his speech in Parliament, "Mr Kilgour and Mr David Matas, a respected Canadian jurist, recently authored a report into alleged organ harvesting in China. It is a compelling report and I commend it to all honorable members."

He continued, "We owe Mr Kilgour and Mr Matas a debt not only for the time they have spent researching and writing the report but also for their advocacy throughout the world. They have been to many countries throughout the world, with no remuneration to themselves, spreading the word of their report. The report is methodical and exhaustive. Given that they were denied visas to enter China to conduct their investigations, it was very difficult research to conduct, but they did it in a way which adds to the integrity of the report. The authors came to the conclusion that the allegations of organ harvesting in China are true. They write, ‘We have concluded that the government of China and its agencies in numerous parts of the country, in particular hospitals but also detention centres and ‘people’s courts’, since 1999 have put to death a large but unknown number of Falun Gong prisoners of conscience.’"

With regard to the investigation of the CCP’s organ harvesting from living people, Mr. Bowen said, "I would call on the Chinese government to allow investigators into China to prove or disprove these allegations. There is a move to have various parliaments from around the world send delegations into China. If the Chinese government believes that these allegations are untrue, they should have no problem in granting visas to those delegations. I call on the Chinese government to cooperate."

It is said that after several months’ planning and preparation, the Australian delegation would hold a press conference on Monday to announce the investigation and apply for visas from the Chinese Embassy. The delegation also requests China to allow the team members to conduct an independent investigation, without restriction.
