At the beginning of 2006, the police from Tieling City set a reward of 1,000 yuan for reporting one Falun Dafa practitioner and followed and watched those practitioners on their blacklist. At least five practitioners were arrested. Many were threatened and harassed.

At about noon on October 18, 2006, police officers from Huixing Community, Tiexi Street, Yinzhou District, broke into the home of Ms. Wang Yaning (over 50 years old). After they found truth-clarification materials, they took her to the Tieling City Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Huanzhi, in her 50s, was arrested at home at night on October 19, 2006.

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Guizhi from Yinzhou District, Tieling City, went missing after she left home with a fellow practitioner. Her family still does not know her whereabouts.

On September 29, 2006, the Chengyang District Procuratorate held an illegal court session against practitioners Ms. Liu Xiuzhen and Ms. Yang Youfen from Dongnugushan Village, Liuting Town, Chengyang District. Around October 17, 2006, the 610 Office of Shijiazhuang City planned to hold a brainwashing session. Every county was assigned a quota. Each person would be charged 3,000 yuan in the brainwashing session. Xingtang County was assigned a quota of 19 practitioners.

On October 15 and 16, 2006, police from Yantai, Shandong Province illegally arrested over 20 Falun Dafa practitioners. Three truth-clarification production sites were destroyed simultaneously.

At about 7:00 p.m. on October 9, 2006, Li Hongyan, head of the Erdao Township Police Station in Jilin City, and Li Juncai, party secretary of the No. 5 Group of Zhangjiacun Village, went to practitioner Mr. Chen Jihai's home and arrested him. That night, Mr. Chen was handcuffed at the Erdao Township Police Station for a whole night. The next day, he was sent to the Fengman Police Department in Jilin City. During the illegal detention, the police from the Fengman Police Department hit and kicked him. Later, they cuffed him to an iron chair and tortured him. Finally, Mr. Chen could not bear the torture anymore. He fell down from the fifth floor when he tussled with the police, causing the bone in his arm to shatter and two of his ribs to crack. There was a big black swollen area on his back. Since then, he has often not been responsive and is mentally disordered. He is still paralyzed in bed and cannot take care of himself.

On the morning of October 20, 2006, practitioner Mr. Wang Dezhi was illegally arrested by six policemen from the Honggang Police Department of Daqing City when he was working. The police also searched his garage. Mr. Wang was first detained in the Honggang Police Department and then transferred to the Longfeng Detention Center. Mr. Wang did not cooperate with the police. He broke out of the detention center with righteous thoughts.

53-year-old Mr. Wang Yuzhu is a practitioner from Shandong Province. In 2005, he became homeless and went to Panjin City in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home. On October 16, 2006, he distributed truth-clarification materials at the Shengtaiyuan Residential Area in the Liaohe Oil Field. A security staff member saw him and reported him to police. He was illegally arrested by the Yingbin Police Station. Now he is detained in the Oil Field Detention Center.

Practitioner Mr. Lin Hongfei was illegally sentenced to four years of imprisonment. After he was released, he went to the Local Tax Administration Office of Dehui City where he used to work and asked him to resume his duties. Police from the Hailun City 610 Office, the Political Security Office of the Hailun City Police Department, and the Zhayinhe Township Police Station arrested practitioners Mr. Lu Guanghua and Mr. Xu Zhigang from their homes in Zhayinhe Township. On September 21, 2006, practitioner Ms. Qiu Jin'e was arrested by officers from the Xianfeng Police Station in Mudanjiang City. She is currently detained in the Xinglong Detention Center in Mudanjiang City.

Mr. Zhang Quanliang was secretly arrested because he insisted on cultivating Falun Dafa. On October 23, 2006, at the plaza in the Xuetian Harbor People's Hall in Chongqing City, Zhang Quanliang's mother hung a white cloth against her chest that read, "Secret Arrest, No Notification to Family." Later on, five or six people from the 610 Office dragged Mr. Zhang's mother into a police vehicle.

In October 2006, six practitioners in Jingmen City, Hubei Province, were arrested and detained in the No. 1 Guest House of the Jingmen Petrochemical General Factory. They included Ms. Zhang Yuhua, Ms. He Yu'e, Mr. Chen Maoping, Ms. Jiang Ying and other two practitioners.

Ms. Shi Zhimin, in her 70s, is a retired official in the Langfang Textile Factory of Hebei Province. Because she did not give up her belief in Dafa, she was forced to become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being arrested by the local 610 Office. Recently, when she went back to her hometown in Henan Province, she was arrested again.

In September 2006, He Yanjun, director of the Chenghua District 610 Office in Chengdu City, and Wang Yu tried to force practitioner Ms. Liu Ying to write a guarantee statement promising to give up cultivating Falun Gong. However, they did not succeed. They are plotting to arrest Ms. Liu and send her to a brainwashing session.

The police left hurriedly when Mr. Wang's family shouted questions at them. Mr. Wang has left home in order to avoid being arrested.

Mr. Li Guang, about 34 years old, graduated from the Changchun University of Aeronautics. He worked at the Aeronautics Convalescent Hospital in Qingdao City. After the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, Li Guang was once detained and persecuted in a mental hospital for more than 40 days. One day, he was arrested by police when he went out to distribute truth-clarification materials. He was illegally sentenced to four years of imprisonment and sent to the Weibei Prison in Weifang City, Shandong Province. During the detention, the authorities used all kinds of cruel means to torture him. They shocked him with electric batons and detained him in a confined cell for over 40 days. They also ordered other prisoners to beat him.

On September 28, 2006, practitioner Mr. Chang Xichao from Guanglu Township, Ci County, Handan City was arrested at home by officers from the Guanglu Township Police Station. His wife went to the police station and asked them to release her husband but she was refused visitation.

On March 30, 2006, Hu Liuzhu, head of the Bangbu City 610 Office, searched practitioner Ms. Xu Jinxian's home and arrested her. She is detained in the Bangbu City No. 1 Detention Center. In the middle of September 2006, the Shengli Police Station arrested practitioners Ms. Chen Guiying and Ms. Wang Qixia. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

In the first ten days of April 2006, the Shenchen City 610 Office arrested practitioners Mr. Lu Laisong, Mr. Zeng and Mr. Zhang. The Futian District Court will hold a court session against them on the morning of October 25, 2006.

33 year-old Mr. Li Zhigang lives in Yangwan Township, Shizhong District, Leshan City. On April 6, 2006, Lu Defu and Wang Aiping led about 20 people from the Leshan 610 Office to search Le Zhigang's home and arrested him. He is detained in the Shizhushan Detention Center in Leshan City.

70-year-old Ms. Chen Zhenying is a practitioner from An County, Hunan Province. On September 30, 2006, she was arrested when she distributed truth-clarification materials in Tianjin City. She is detained in the Tianjin City Detention Center.

In July 2004, practitioner Ms. Liu Xiurong from Tongliao, Inner Mongolia was reported and taken to the Yongqing Police Station when she put up posters that read, "Falun Dafa is good." Later, her home was searched and she was sent to a brainwashing center in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia.
