By a practitioner in Mainland China

(Clearwisdom.net) A Falun Dafa materials center must be adequately funded and each and every practitioner must contribute to truth-clarification and saving sentient beings, but we do not want to take money from non-practitioners. I am better-off financially than other practitioners and so, with consent from my husband who is not a practitioner, from time to time I contribute some money to doing Dafa projects. Sometimes when I contribute a large amount, my parents, who are also practitioners, say, "Stop doing it for a while. That is too much." I reply, "I am better off, and what I have gained from Dafa can never be paid back with money. Now I give out more so that other practitioners can give less. When I wanted to help practitioners with low incomes, they wouldn’t take a penny from me." Over the past two years, my financial situation has improved significantly. I came to realize that this is what Master has kindly arranged, so I should use it to save more people. Later, my parents’ understanding improved also, and they started contributing more money themselves and never again disapproved of what I was doing.

It is up to us to create a safe environment.

Everyone in my company knows that I am a Dafa practitioner, so I follow the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" in my speech and actions. I always look inside for causes when conflicts arise, treat everyone with kindness in my work, and never seek return from others.

My work is such that I have to deal with more than two billion yuan (approximately US $250 million) every year and I am in frequent contact with our clients. However, I have always stuck to the following principles: I never accept a penny from them; I never take a ride from them; and I never let them buy me meals. In addition, I treat my clients the way I do my family, and during the past eight years I have changed from a person with endless desires to an upright practitioner who will not be swayed by passion, all because of this righteous Fa. People who know me often say, "If everyone practiced Falun Gong, there would be no corruption. These days no one can find one person among 10,000 who is like you—you do not use your position to your own advantage." My ability and dedication in work have been recognized in the company, which laid a sound foundation for me to do face-to-face truth-clarification. I tried my very best to explain the facts to all those with whom I have worked. Most of them know the truth, and some have even quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.

Once I saw an article in my company newspaper that distorted the facts about Dafa and wondered why I saw it. Master said, "Where there's a problem, that is where we should go clarify the facts." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Midwest-U.S. Fa Conference") I printed out a copy of truth-clarification information and went to see the official responsible for the section that wrote the article. A righteous thought would set everything right. In his office, without preamble I explained the facts to him and answered his questions. In the end he said he would never again do anything against Dafa and agreed to read the information I had brought him when he got home. Since then, no one has ever written another article slandering Dafa. That official used to be my supervisor and knew my integrity and dedication to work, and that had paved the way for me to clarify the truth to him. My feeling is that practitioners must follow the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in doing everything, for our speech and actions reflect Dafa’s demeanor and ordinary people tend to draw conclusions about us based on what they see.

When I am not doing face-to-face truth-clarification, I distribute truth-clarification materials. Whenever I go shopping, I have the thought that I go for the sake of distributing materials and letting people there see the truth. It always goes smoothly. I take five to ten copies and go to different areas without following any pattern. I always maintain a righteous mind and steady heart. I do not hesitate or panic, even though sometimes salespeople see me doing it, because I am there to save them. Nothing happens when I have righteous thoughts. As a matter of fact, fear arises when you scare yourself.

I have often had the following experience doing face-to-face truth-clarification: When non-practitioners tell me that it is not safe to talk to others about the truth, I say, "Everyone has kind thoughts, and if I am sincerely good to you, you will feel it. We will be truly safe only when everyone knows the truth."
