California, USA: Pacific Beach Welcomes Falun Dafa (Photos)


(Clearwisdom.net) On December 9, San Diego Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the annual Christmas Parade at Pacific Beach.

The practitioners’ procession included a waist drum troupe, a decorated float on which several practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, and a dancing group.

Some spectators imitated the exercise postures, some gave us the thumbs-up sign in support, and there were also several children who made the heshi gesture (a sign of respect with the hands pressed together in front of chest) to greet the practitioners. Several Chinese spectators were surprised by the Falun Gong presence. We could feel the understanding and respect from the spectators.

Several practitioners distributed Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials along the parade route. At times they could hardly keep up with all the requests from spectators.

On the same day, other San Diego practitioners held their weekly "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" art exhibit and an anti-torture photo display at the famous Balboa Park, to expose the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong and to let more people know the facts about Falun Gong.
