Oregon: Falun Gong Practitioners Attend the Christmas Parade in Salem
By a practitioner from Oregon
(Clearwisdom.net) On December 9, 2006, a Christmas parade was held in
Salem, the capital of Oregon. The Falun Gong practitioners, dressed in
traditional costumes, were very attractive. Before the parade started, many people took photos of the practitioners'
lotus float. One American girl, who grew up in China, read the banner on the
float--"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and had her photo taken
beside it. The parade started at 7:00 a.m. The spectators were very attracted to the
waist drum team performance and the exercise demonstration, and some learned the
Falun Gong exercises from practitioners. Many spectators took photos of
practitioners. After the parade, the excited people said "thank you" to
practitioners for their performance.
