Personnel from the Jiang'an Police Station broke into practitioner Ms. Gu Niang's home at Yingtong Lane, Fuqin West Road, Chengdu City on December 4, 2006. They took Ms. Gu and six other practitioners to the city's Fuqin Police Station. Two practitioners were released at their family's request. Four practitioners were transferred to the Pi County Detention Center at 10:00 p.m. Another practitioner was released with his/her family's help on December 5, 2006.

Personnel from the Hongqi Road Police Station in Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province, arrested practitioner Mr. Shi Chengjie. He had been distributing truth-clarifying materials around the Thermoelectricity Factory at around 2:00 p.m. on September 10, 2006.

More than ten policemen took turns beating Mr. Shi at the police station. He tried to escape by jumping from the building, but fractured his pelvis.

After he was brought back to the police station, police intently kicked his fractured pelvis and lower back. When he used the restroom, the police kicked his chest and lower back, abdomen, and genitals. Then two policemen dragged him by his hands and feet. Other policemen beat him until he vomited and eventually lost consciousness. The police were afraid of being held responsible, so they took him to a hospital. The diagnosis was severe injury and swollen abdomen. His life was endangered. The hospital refused to admit him. The police paid 4,700 yuan and forced the hospital to give him a blood transfusion.

In the meantime the police ransacked Mr. Shi's home and confiscated some Dafa books.

A person who doesn't know the truth of Falun Gong reported five practitioners to police. They are: Ms. Chuai Cuijun, Ms. Chen Baihe, Ms. Wang Xiuhua, Ms. Zhang Guilan, and another practitioner from Qianxi County. It happened while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials in Yuhuzhai Township. The police arrested them later and put them into the Qianxi County Detention Center. During their detention, the police forcibly drew their blood and took their photos. If a practitioner refused to cooperate, several personnel would hold her down and put her in handcuffs and shackles.

Ms. Zhang Guilan was tortured so badly that she manifested symptoms of insufficient blood flow to the brain. She could not stand or walk, felt dizzy, and had to lie in bed. Detention center personnel informed her family to bail her out for hospitalization.

Ms. Chuai Cuijun manifested symptoms of a kidney stone. She hurt so severely that she rolled back and forth and was extremely weak. Her husband and many relatives and friends asked to visit her but were refused. She has been detained for six-and-a-half months already. To date her family has not been permitted to visit her.

15. [Hebei Province] A Practitioner's Personal Torture Experience Resulting in Paralysis - Belated Information

A practitioner from Baoding City was reported for clarifying the truth and distributing truth-clarifying materials in 2004. The person was arrested, his/her home was ransacked, and she/he was sentenced to two years of forced labor. In the forced labor camp, police forced those practitioners who refused to give in to their demands to watch TV and read articles that slandered Falun Gong. If practitioners still did not give up Falun Gong practice, police handcuffed them and hung them up or put them on the dead person's bed, force-fed them, or deprived them of sleep. Practitioner Ms. Li Ruiying was tortured to death this way. The practitioner was also force-fed until s/he suffered several strokes and eventually became paralyzed and required constant care.

They arrested her and sent her to Huanbao Hotel for persecution. Ms. Xu's husband, her daughter-in-law, and her few-month-old granddaughter were left at home.

Practitioner Ms. Hu Lingying, 65, works for the Jianyang City People's Hospital. Two fellow practitioners were tracked after they studied the Fa together in Ms. Hu's home at 2:00 p.m. on November 29, 2006. Several people went to Ms. Hu's home and arrested her. They included Jianyang City 610 Office personnel, hospital security guards, and Hu Lingying's son-in-law, who has been brainwashed by the Communist Party. He even beat his mother! These people searched her house and confiscated many Dafa books as well as truth-clarifying materials. Eighty-year-old practitioner Mr. Liang Shenghui was also arrested but was released after being held for one day. Practitioner Ms. Hu Lingying was sent to the Er'equan Brainwashing Center in Yingjie Town, Ziyang City.
