Houston, Texas: Practitioners Participate in Community Christmas Parade (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On December 16, 2006, an annual Christmas Parade was held in Burlinghall, a community in Houston. Falun Gong practitioners participated in the parade.

Spectators welcome Falun Gong practitioners

The organizer of the parade enjoyed Falun Gong practitioners' performance in a Thanksgiving parade in 2005, so she invited practitioners to the Christmas parade in Burlinghall. It was the second time that Falun Gong practitioners have attend this parade. The title of this year's parade is "Deck The Halls of Burlinghall." The parade was held in a residential area, instead of downtown.

The parade stared at 5:00 p.m. Many citizens watched the parade. Among all the entries, there were big companies such as Home Depot, student bands, and all kinds of decorated cars.

A big banner reading, "Falun Dafa--Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" led the Falun Gong group. After the banner was the waist drum team and the float, on which practitioners demonstrated the exercises. The drum playing, beautiful exercise movements and music attracted many spectators. Reporters and citizens took many photos of the practitioners' float. After the parade, the organizer said, "Falun Gong is excellent. We are grateful."
