(Clearwisdom.net) On December 15, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners were
invited to join a round table conference entitled, "Resisting Crimes
Against Humanity with International Law." The conference was held in the
Jihu University Library and was sponsored by the legal department of the
Ukrainian KROK Economics and Law University and by the international legal
department of the Ukrainian National Aviation University. Falun Gong practitioners discuss the persecution during the
conference At the conference, Professor Shumilo M.E. from the KROK Economics and Law
University made the first speech. Falun Gong practitioner Ludmila Dvoretskaya
gave a talk entitled, "Genocide and the Present Persecution against Falun
Gong Cultivators by the CCP [Chinese Communist Party]." She
introduced Falun Gong and the severe persecution against Falun Gong
practitioners in China. Ms. Dvoretskaya said, "In China, the illegal and
extreme brutal persecution against one hundred million Falun Gong practitioners
has lasted for seven years. This persecution not only targets Falun Gong
practitioners, but also their relatives and friends. The media under the CCP
control spreads rumors to the entire society." Participants at the conference watch a film about the
investigation into the CCP organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners
Another Falun Gong practitioner showed a film about the recent investigation into organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party. He said that the two investigators spent two months investigating and gathering evidence, subsequently reaching the conclusion that in China, harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners is indeed being carried out. He also said that the CCP is trying to spread this persecution to many countries outside China. Outside China, CCP spies monitor Chinese Falun Gong practitioners, and once they go back China they will be detained and forced to give up their beliefs, otherwise they will be arrested and put into labor camps to be "transformed," brainwashed and persecuted.
The Falun Gong practitioners' contribution aroused enormous interest among the conference attendees. They carried out a series of discussions on such topics as "the behavior of the CCP genocide and its character" and "how to use international law to stop the crime of the CCP genocide." University students from the legal department -- future lawyers -- were shocked. They attempted to find an answer to this situation which has attracted the whole world's attention. At this event, they had discussions about some of the problems, including: "What is the nature of today's genocide in China? What kind of character does it have? How to stop this genocide by using legal means? What can we do as future lawyers, and what kind of related laws can help to stop this persecution in China, to avoid genocide in this century?"
