Ms. Bai Yanyun, 39, Died from Police Brutality in 2005

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Bao Yanyun, 39 years old, was an employee of Echeng Hotel in Ezhou City, Hubei Province. She lived in Metal Company Family Housing in Ezhou City and started cultivating in 1999. She stopped practicing for a period of time after July 20, 1999, but resumed her practice again later. All her illnesses disappeared because she kept studying the Fa, doing the exercises, and clarifying the truth to people.

In July and August 2005, Lin Hannan (female, employee of Wuhan City Steel Corp.) betrayed Ms. Bao after enlightening on an evil path in the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center. Policemen found a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in her home. They arrested her and took her to Lianhuashan District Department, where they interrogated her and brutally beat and threatened her, endangering her life. Police sent her to Ezhou City Central Hospital (formerly Ezhou City First Hospital) for emergency treatment. She died in the hospital on October 20, 2005.

Before Ms. Bao died, she asked her family members to put her exercise clothes on her. She remained conscious until her family put on the outfit, and then she died.

The doctor said she died of uremia. But why was her life in danger only one day after being interrogated by the Ezhou City 610 Office agents? She never had uremia before. Because the authorities are withholding information, we do not yet have any detailed information.

The policemen that participated in beating her while they interrogated her included Liu Shaofa (male, 610 Office head of Xishan District Police Department in Ezhou City) and Officers Zhang, Sheng, and Zhou (all first names unknown).

During July and August 2005, many other practitioners were arrested, including Ms. Wang Hanmin, Ms. Song Chunmei, Mr. Guo Huanyuan, and Ms. Pan Zhenghui, who have each been sentenced to three to four years in prison.

Due to a lack of information, we just found out about Ms. Bai Yanyun's death. We suggest all practitioners send forth righteous thoughts.
