(Clearwisdom.net) In 1997, I had the good fortune to have a colleague introduce me to Falun Dafa. Although I did not know a thing about cultivation, after reading Zhuan Falun, I learned that Falun Dafa teaches people to be good and to improve themselves.

At that time, my enlightenment quality was not very good, and my child was little. I had little time and did not study the Fa or practice the exercises regularly. By 1998, my husband could take care of our child in the evenings, and I had time to participate in group study and practice. We watched Master's video lectures together, and studied Zhuan Falun and Master's articles. Gradually I started to understand cultivation, how to cultivate, why should people be good people, and why we should return to our original true selves. My mind and body both underwent great changes.

In 1999, the demonic head of the Chinese Communist Party, for the sake of his selfishness and jealousy, insisted on outlawing and eliminating Falun Gong. I could not understand it. I asked myself: "Why is it not allowed to follow such a good practice? Is it not right to be a good person?" I wanted to say a few just words for Dafa, so we went to appeal. At Tiananmen, we were arrested and sent back. We wrote letters to the national government to state the facts, but the letters were returned. We were not discouraged. We told the truth of Dafa and the persecution situation whenever we met people. Because we were targeted for persecution, our actions and words were constantly monitored. During the annual big and small holidays and on sensitive dates, we were harassed by the station police and street cadres. But with our constant Fa-study and improvement, the inclement environment further strengthened our belief in Master and Dafa. We were more clear about Master's Fa principles.

Having gone through the tribulations of the past couple of years, I became more and more clear on cultivation. The more I studied the Fa principles, the clearer they became. When tribulations came, I could regard them appropriately with Dafa to measure each occurrence, no matter for myself or for others.

I remember that in the spring of 2002, I discovered that my daughter's spine was curved, and she could not sit up straight. The police often came to my home to harass us. They put huge pressure on my family. The child could not stand these frightening scenes. Every time the police came she cowered, trying to hide herself from them. Repeated scares caused her to often sleep rolled up in a ball, resulting in a side-curved spine. In order to cure my child's condition, we went to all the big hospitals in Beijing. Every doctor said that the only way to fix her was to do an operation, that there was no other alternative. The cost of the surgery would have been 40 to 50 thousand yuan. Our income was very low and we could not afford it, but in my heart I understood that nothing is coincidental. Master said,

On the way to the big hospitals, I repeatedly recited Master's lectures and Hong Yin. I kept telling myself that, no matter how huge the tribulation is, I have to treat it properly. A person's whole life is predestined, and my child's life is not up to me to manipulate. I should not let this matter interfere with me.

After returning home, fellow practitioners told me to rest my heart and study the Fa more. I knew that the road that Master has arranged for everyone is according to our personal base; it is not done arbitrarily. Master would not let disciples take on an unbearable burden. As long as we upgrade our xinxing, there is no test that cannot be passed. I then repeatedly read the book and studied the Fa. I asked myself: "What is it in me that I have not improved?" I worked hard to look inside. I looked inside for a long time, yet my heart was still not at rest. One day, I suddenly saw this paragraph when I read the book:

When I saw this paragraph, my mind and body were shocked, "How come I didn't understand the meaning of this paragraph after so many years of reading! It is Master letting me improve!" At that moment, my heavy heart was as ease. Through this matter, I realized that practitioners should view problems through Fa principles. No matter what problem you encounter, it is for you to improve based on Fa principles. We should not limit ourselves and revolve around a particular matter. When my heart was at rest, my child's condition gradually resolved.

At work I am in charge of incoming inventory, so every day I see many people come and go. I remember Master's words about widely spreading the truth and saving sentient beings. After our material production site was destroyed, I had little truth-clarifying material with me, so I went out to clarify the facts face to face. I hand-copied various things to clarify the truth to others. I would not wait to depend on others as long as I could do it on my own. When I went out to see people with predestined relationships and chanced upon opportunities, I tried to save them with my true heart. Conversing with them, I let them know the goodness of Dafa, the ugly true face of the vicious Party, and about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and quitting the CCP for their safety.

In 2002 and 2003, the police looked for me at home and at work often, asking me to attend brainwashing "sessions." I sternly refused them all, telling them, "I only listen to my Master. I have decided to walk the cultivation way for sure. I will never betray Master. Nobody can change me." I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements interfering with me. Later they said, "Ok, as long as you practice at home we won't care." I believe that, regardless of the time or location, as long as we firmly believe in Master and Dafa, and use Dafa to measure things when encountering problems, nothing can interfere with us. We should just do our three things well and fulfill our grand wishes of prehistoric times.
