Two Falun Gong Practitioners from Zhejiang Province Die as a Result of Persecution

December 27, 2006 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner from Mainland China

(Clearwisdom.net) According to incomplete statistics, more than 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners in China have died as a result of the persecution. Four members of a family I know practice Falun Gong, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted two of them to death.

Wang Huiyue, 86, Died as a Result of the Persecution

Wang Huiyue was 86 years old when she died as a result of the persecution. She lived in Xiaoshu Township, Anji County, Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. Prior to Falun Gong practice, she had high blood pressure and other illnesses. Ms. Wang started practicing Falun Gong in 1996, and she became a healthy, energetic person again.

When the CCP launched the persecution in 1999, her son was afraid that he would be implicated in the persecution, so he forbade his mother from practicing any longer. He even stole the Falun Gong books from her. Wang Huiyue fell ill shortly thereafter and could not ingest food or water for about a week. She was bedridden and could not recognize anyone.

Her two daughters, who also practiced Falun Gong, traveled a long distance and came to see her. They opened the book Zhuan Falun. When they showed Master’s portrait to the semi-conscious Wang Huiyue, she woke up and called out, "Master!" She got up, studied the Fa and did the exercises with her daughters. She soon recovered.

However, three days later, the policemen learned that she was still practicing Falun Gong. They broke into her house and arrested her daughters. They charged them with "teaching their mother Falun Gong exercises." This was September 9, 1999. Wang Huiyue got sick again right after her daughters' arrests.

Two days later, her daughters were transferred to their local police department. Before they left, policemen took them to Wang Huiyue’s house and said to her, "Your daughters taught you the Falun Gong exercises, so we are taking them to the police department in their hometown."

Wang Huiyue cried and said to policemen, "My daughters didn’t do anything bad. We practice Falun Gong to be good people. Please don’t jail them!" Her daughters also shed tears, "Mother, we just wanted to come back to visit you and take care of you. Is that a crime?"

Wang Huiyue passed away just a few days after her daughters were arrested.

Li Yuanbao Died in the Hands of the CCP Doctors

Li Yuanbao was 59 when he passed away. He was an artist in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. Mr. Li had high blood pressure and a disease in his right eye before he practiced Falun Gong. He started practicing Falun Gong in 1996 and was completely healed.

On July 20, 2000, one year after the CCP launched the persecution, Li Yuanbao’s wife went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. One week later, police sent her back and jailed her in a detention center. Policemen searched his house and threatened Li Yuanbao. They forbade Li from visiting his wife. Later they searched his house again.

Two months later, Li Yuanbao was informed that his wife, 60, was sentenced to two years of forced labor. That same night he suffered a brain hemorrhage and lost consciousness. The next morning, his son took him to a hospital. He regained consciousness five days later. Even though he was in bad health, policemen still came to harass him, and tried to force him to renounce Falun Gong. Due to the high pressure from the CCP, Li Yuanbao’s health became worse and worse, and he became paralyzed.

The policemen still didn’t leave him alone. They came to his house several times and took him to the police department for brainwashing. Since Li Yuanbao refused to give up Falun Gong, the policemen repeatedly threatened him.

Mr. Li's wife once wrote in a letter that the labor camp had made a new policy. According to the policy, since her husband is sick and needs to be taken care of, she could be released to take care of him, if Li Yuanbao can show documents from the local government verifying his condition. Li Yuanbao got together several documents and sent them to the labor camp, but he never got any reply from anyone. Mr. Li began to worry even more about his wife and eventually lost hope in her safe return. He became bedridden and blind.

Two years later, Mr. Li's wife was released. He learned that all the documents he had sent to the labor camp were confiscated and his wife knew nothing about them.

Policemen still often came to harass them and attempted to force them to give up Falun Gong, but they refused. They did the exercises together, and six months later, most of his diseases were healed, although his eyes were not completely back to normal.

One day Li Yuanbao suddenly could not move one of his arms. His son took him to the hospital when he learned of Li Yuanbao’s situation. Li was in a coma when he was taken to the emergency room. The doctor in charge pressured his wife to consent to brain surgery. Mr. Li's wife refused because the patients who had undergone brain surgery at that hospital had died one after another. She read Zhuan Falun to him, and sometimes he opened his eyes and would come out of the coma briefly.

Since Li’s wife refused to sign the agreement, the CCP doctor said to her, "Falun Gong is a cult that the government opposes. How dare you go against us with Falun Gong? Just wait and see!"

On the morning of the seventh day, the nurses suddenly found Li awake and conscious, and his breathing, blood pressure and heartbeat were all back to normal.

At this point, the doctor directed the nurses to force unknown drugs into Mr. Li's mouth, and refused to stop when he began to vomit violently. Just like that, Mr. Li, who had recovered, died in the hospital bed.
