Taiwan: Yilan Board of Education Condemns the Chinese Communist Party's Crime of Organ Harvesting (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) December 20, 2006 was the annual all-member conference of the Yilan County Board of Education. During the conference, the board passed a resolution condemning the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, urging international human right organizations and the World Health Organization to thoroughly investigate the CCP's forced labor camps, prisons and hospitals, requesting the CCP to stop the crime immediately and to be above-board with organ transplantation procedures. The resolution also recommended that the Education Board join the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution Falun Gong (CIPFG)

One representative, Teacher Liu, said that the conference attendees are council members, members of the board of education at the county and local township level, principals, directors, middle school and elementary school teachers. Director of the Board of Education Mr. Huang Jindi, professors from Yilan University and many council members signed their names to support the resolution. After the resolution was passed, more teachers signed their names to support the anti-persecution petition.

The resolution was proposed by Principal Hong from Huideng Middle School. He said that any country or individual's silence will help the atrocity to continue, and the result will be that more innocent people are murdered. He believes that in the face of the Chinese Communist Party's atrocity of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, we must not continue to bear it, nor should we keep silent. He wanted to use this resolution to raise awareness of this atrocity.

For the past six years, like many other counties and cities in Taiwan, Yilan has organized Falun Dafa Teachers Summer Camps. In the summer camps, Falun Dafa practitioners from all walks of life introduced their own cultivation experiences to schoolteachers. As a result, many educators began to apply the principle of "Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance" in their day-to-day work. The Board of Education, principals and teachers have welcomed Falun Dafa.

As of today, over 700f the 23 counties and cities in Taiwan have passed resolutions to condemn the Chinese Communist Party's atrocity of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.
