The Story Behind a CCP Denunciation

(Clearwisdom.net) "I solemnly swear that I withdraw my membership from all Communist Party organizations. All previously written declarations and applications made in the past are invalid from now on. This is declared by: New Life."

The statements above comprise a Communist Party membership withdrawal declaration that a friend asked me to publish. It is a very simple statement but there is a significant story behind it.

My friend and her husband are kind and honest people. My friend has always liked to hear the miraculous stories about Falun Dafa practitioners and has been very receptive to learning more about Falun Dafa's principles. Over the years I often delivered "Minghui Weekly" magazines to her and told her to remember "Falun Dafa is good." I also told her about the worldwide movement to renounce the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the publication of the Nine Commentaries. Her husband read the Nine Commentaries twice, told me that the book was well written, and asked for a copy to keep, but he became confused whenever the topic of denouncing his family's membership in the CCP came up. Both he and his wife joined the party when they were in college.

I was disappointed when they took no action after I had a few discussions with them. I read the words of another practitioner in Minghui Weekly. It said that a god once gave a criminal ten opportunities to save himself. I was inspired by the writing, and it became clear to me that it was my responsibility to save sentient beings. I should not give up or complain just because the result was not what I had expected. At that moment I remembered Teacher telling us that the Buddha Law's power is limitless. I told her, "I will wait for the day that you decide to denounce your CCP membership."

When my friend became pregnant, she went to her hometown to wait for the arrival of her baby. One day her husband called and told me that she was in labor, ten days ahead of the expected delivery date, and that she had just been given a shot to speed up the delivery. Apparently the baby's life was in danger. I immediately told my friend's husband to remind her to recite "Falun Dafa is good." It was 7:00 p.m. in the evening when I called her and asked her to faithfully recite "Falun Dafa is good" in silence to herself. I told her everything would be fine if she did this. She thanked me.

The next morning she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, even though the sonogram revealed that the umbilical cord had been tangled around the baby. I phoned to congratulate her as soon as I got the news and it was then that she asked me to withdraw her CCP membership for her.

I'd like to share with my fellow practitioners that one should not give up easily, because the Buddha Fa's power is infinite, and people do change when they realize that Dafa is good for their well-being.
