(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Cao Zhaohui and his wife Chen Lingmei have been arrested and detained in Zhuozou City Detention Center in Hebei Province. The couple's physical condition is deteriorating rapidly, and their 80-year-old father is alone at home.
After Jiang Zemin's regime began persecuting Falun Gong, Mr. Cao Zhaohui has been arrested and detained multiple times. He was twice sent to forced labor at Baoding City Forced Labor Camp. He endured shocking by four electric batons simultaneously, while the guards forced him to stand in a water basin on one foot. Guards also beat him with rubber batons while forcing him to stand in the same position. They said, "This is called 'golden rooster standing on one foot'." Guards also forced his head into the toilet and pulled his arms high behind him, calling it "riding an airplane." He went through other numerous cruel tortures in Baoding City Labor Camp.
Ms. Chen Lingmei has been arrested and detained many times during the past six years. She has been locked in the Nanma Brainwashing Center in Zhuozhou City and sent to Xiaobailou Brainwashing Center in Baoding City. She has also been held in Baoding City Forced Labor Camp for more than one year, enduring all sorts of tortures.
Before the persecution, Mr. Cao Zhaohui and his wife adopted a daughter, who is now in her teens. Because they are both detained in the forced labor camp, their 80-year-old father has had to look after their daughter and has not been able to take care of her by himself. As a result, they were forced to give up their daughter so another family could adopt her. Their home has been ransacked so many times that nothing of any value is left. They were forced to beg in order to survive. In spite of all this, they have both been arrested again and their father is left without any resources or help.
