Mr. Zhang Huipu of Xi'an City Still Missing One Year after Being Abducted


(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zhang Huipu, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Xi'an City, Shanxi Province, was illegally arrested by 610 Office officials, Yanta District Police, and his work place in March 2005 on a charge of "leaking secrets." Nearly one year has gone by, yet no information on his whereabouts is available. His family is gravely concerned about his plight. Anyone with information is encouraged to make it public.

Zhang Huipu, a college graduate who was born in 1970, was a software developer for the No. 10 Institute of Telecommunication Science (formerly known as the No. 10 Institute of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication). He lived in the staff compound at East Apartment, Floor 6, Unit 1, Building 15. Mr. Zhang had experienced full recovery from hepatitis-B after he started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998. When he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000, Mr. Zhang was illegally arrested. He was detained for fifteen days after he was sent home. After his release, the 610 Office officials, local police, and individuals involved in the persecution from his workplace harassed him continuously, exerting tremendous pressure on him and his family.
