Yubei District Court of Chongqing City Set Up a Secret Court for Undergraduate Student Mr. Xiang Youwei
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Xiang Youwei was an undergraduate student at Three
Gorges College in Chongqing City. During his time in school, he was persecuted
and ultimately was forced to quit the school because he practiced Falun Gong. On
September 28, 2005, Mr. Xiang was arrested, and in the afternoon of December 22,
2005, the Yubei District Court tried him in secret. From July to August of 2004, Mr. Xiang was sent to a brainwashing center,
where he was hounded to renounce his belief. Mr. Xiang resisted with righteous
thoughts and managed to escape. He had to leave his hometown and go from place
to place to avoid arrest. One year after Mr. Xiang was forced to leave school and flee, Chongqing
City's National Security General Team ordered the Yubei District Branch of the
National Security Team to track down Mr. Xiang. On the night of September 28,
2005, Mr. Xiang was illegally arrested from Apt. 7-1, Unit 3,
Building 6, Hengjie Branch Lane, Shuangfeng Street, Yubei District, Chongqing
City, and taken to a secret place in the Nanping area. He was detained and
interrogated for 158 hours. Policemen made notes of their own and forced Mr.
Xiang to sign and seal them as "evidence." On October 5, 2005, Mr. Xiang Youwei was detained in Yubei Detention Center.
On December 22, 2005, the No. 2 Court of Yubei District Court on 64 Shuangfeng
Street secretly held a trial. Yubei District's public prosecution department
illegally prosecuted Mr. Xiang with accusations of "disruption the
execution of the law." Mr. Xiang Youwei denied all of the false evidence
