(Clearwisdom.net) On May 19, 2003, several fellow practitioners and I were distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials and clarifying the truth near my mother's residence. After we were reported to the local police, they initiated a house-to-house search for truth-clarification materials. At around 8:00 p.m., about eight policemen broke into and ransacked my home. They told me to go to the public security bureau for questioning, but I refused. I told the police, "I will not go to the public security bureau. I'm looking after three small children. You took my husband to the public security bureau for questioning and then sentenced him to two-years of forced labor. He hasn't been released yet. I must look after my children." The head of the No.1 Division of the public security bureau, named Li, was the spokesperson. He ordered eight officers to drag me to the third floor of the local police station. I told them, "You are inhuman! You are persecuting cultivators!"

Because I refused to cooperate with them, the police decided to take me to the detention center. When we arrived at the entrance of the detention center, I told the policemen, "You are despicable and shameless! You sentenced my husband to two years forced labor because he practices Falun Gong. He is still in the forced labor camp and you are now throwing me into the detention center! I have three small children. I hope that nothing will happen to them; otherwise, you will never be able to repay for your crimes and karma." They left without saying a word.

At the detention center, I kept sending forth righteous thoughts and clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the prison inmates. I remembered Teacher's words:

Teacher said,

Every time they interrogated me, I told them, "I will not tell you anything. I am afraid of nothing." I also went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The police stripped me naked, gave me injections, put me on intravenous infusions, and tortured me with force-feedings. They could not get any information out of me. They wanted to know about the Falun Gong truth-clarification materials found near mother's residence. But I remained silent. I told them, "You have ransacked my home, but you didn't find anything. What do you expect me to tell you? I don't know anything." I was on a hunger strike for nine days, when they finally released me. I went home with dignity.

On June 16, 2003, my husband was released. Around 7:00 a.m. two days later, the police came to my home and deceived me into coming to the No.1 Division of the public security bureau. Once there, they told me that I had been sentenced to three years of forced labor. I told them, "I practice Falun Gong and follow Falun Gong's cultivation principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance in order to become a better person. On what grounds did you sentence me to three years of forced labor? You don't have anything on me and thus can't even hold me for three hours!" Huang, the captain of the state security team, told me, "If you are trying to be a good person, why did you distribute materials?" I replied, "Falun Gong practitioners distribute Falun Gong truth-clarification materials to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and the truth about the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong. We are saving the world's people from the CCP's deceit. What is wrong with that?" The police said, "You are still holding on to the wrong beliefs. You are obstinate. This time you will spend a long time at the forced labor camp, where you can take your time practicing Falun Gong!" I declared, "I will continue to practice Falun Gong until the end." The police were furious and took me to Guizhou Women's Forced Labor Camp that same day. On the way there, I kept sending righteous thoughts. Once at the camp, they put me through a physical examination. At the moment, a genuinely righteous thought came forward: "You will not succeed in any of your goals." According to the exam, my blood pressure was 180 and my body temperature over 104^o F. The camp administration was afraid to take me because I failed the health exam and because I had a fever in the middle of the SARS epidemic. The police had no choice but to take me back to the local detention center. I realized immediately it was our immensely compassionate Teacher that had saved me from the evil's den. I told myself that I must take this opportunity to escape from this imprisonment by holding righteous thoughts. After going on a hunger strike for five days, I was released and went home with dignity.

A year later, at 6:00 a.m. on June 4, 2004, my husband and I were practicing the Falun Gong sitting meditation when someone knocked on the front door. Our children were getting ready to go to school, so they opened the door. Captain Huang of the state security team and several policemen burst through the front door. I began to send righteous thoughts immediately. Meanwhile, I told my husband to put away the audiocassette of the Falun Gong exercise music. The police rushed into the master bedroom and told me to come with them to the police station. I told the police, "The Chinese police tell nothing but lies and do nothing but persecute good people. I will never cooperate with you. You are capable of everything. Even without one piece of evidence at hand, you will sentence an innocent person to serve time in prison, a forced labor camp, or a detention center and collect illegal fines. Haven't you done enough to my family? If you have anything to say to me, say it here unless you are afraid." Huang said, "Last year we sentenced you to three years forced labor. Now it is time to take you there." I said, "I did not commit any crime. I have done nothing but practice Falun Gong, believe in Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance and try to be a better person. What gives you a right to sentence me to three years forced labor! I won't go." The policemen dragged me out of the door by my ankles and wrists. During the process, I repeatedly shouted, "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is the righteous Buddha Law! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! The police are persecuting a good person that practices Falun Gong!" My children were wailing and shouting, 'Falun Dafa is good!' while trying to stop the police from taking me away. My husband also came out and shouted, "The police are arresting a good person who practices Falun Gong and follows the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance! Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is the righteous Buddha Law! These policemen won't even leave the children alone! They are kicking and beating the children! Everyone, look! What is wrong with trying to be a better person?"

Soon a lot of neighbors gathered and reproached the police, "You police officers are like jackals and wolves! Arresting people in the early morning! Let me tell you what I really think. It is none of your business that they practice Falun Gong! They didn't do anything illegal! They are equally kind to everyone!" "In my opinion, Falun Gong practitioners are genuinely good people. You are really evil to arrest and beat up such kind people!" Several policemen stopped and walked away upon hearing our neighbors' accusations. Huang and the rest of the police continued to drag me over the gravel by my ankles and wrists. Suddenly I thought of Teacher's words:

All of sudden I felt all my human sentiments disappeared. I began to send righteous thoughts again. I thought, "Teacher, please help me reinforce my righteous thoughts." Within just a few seconds, I was unable to move. My body became limp. The police were unable to move me. I could hear one policeman say that I was pretending. Next a neighbor suddenly exclaimed, "Look! You have killed her by dragging her over the gravel, but you still won't stop dragging her body! We have witnessed her death! We will all testify about the crime you committed. Don't you dare leave now!" At the time I realized that Teacher was reproaching the police through everyday people's lips in order to save me from the evil. Huang was frightened. He touched my nose to check if I was still breathing.

Meanwhile, my husband ran to the statue of Teacher and put his hand together in heishi before Teacher while sending righteous thoughts. He was determined to intimidate the evil and stop them from taking me away. He grabbed a porcelain basin and began to play it like a drum to attract the public's attention. He also began to clarify the truth. There were a lot of students, passersby, and neighbors at the scene. Some were crying and some were condemning the police because they don't arrest criminals and do nothing but persecute Falun Gong practitioners. They declared that the police were the scum of the earth. My husband explained to everyone at the scene about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and the persecution my family had suffered over the past few years. Finally the police left in a rage. When I came to, the children helped me back into the house.

Because of these experiences, I became all the more convinced that cultivation practice is a solemn matter and it is unconditional. I must make more efforts to do the Three Things well. I must not do some things more while neglecting other things. Teacher has repeatedly taught us that we must study the Fa more and study the Fa more. Teacher said:

At critical moments, I must think of Teacher first, I must have strong righteous thoughts, and I must let go of all human thoughts and attachments.

For the past few years, my family and I have repeatedly suffered from the evil police's persecution and harassments. As a result, my husband was unable to find a location for his barbershop and we experienced financial difficulties. A fellow practitioner showed me how to sell homemade side dishes, so I could make some money. On July 7, 2005, I went to the market to deliver my side dishes. I took a few copies of Falun Gong truth-clarification materials with me to read. During this period, I didn't do well any of the Three Things Teacher requires of us. That must be the reason why the evil was able to exploit my loopholes, and someone reported me to the police. The police waited for me at the bus stop. When the bus arrived, the police jumped me and grabbed the materials from me. Next they dialed 110 (equivalent to 911 in the United States). Several police came and pulled me off the bus.

At the time a lot of people were watching the fiasco, so I shouted, "The police are persecuting Falun Gong practitioners! Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! You must not believe in the lies on TV! You must not believe the police's lies! They are poisoning the world's people! As long as you believe that Falun Gong is good and that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good, you will be under heaven's blessing and protection!" The police forced me into the police car. At the No. 1 Division of the public security bureau, I didn't cooperate with the police at all despite their curses and beating. They took me to the detention center that day. During interrogation, the police repeatedly cursed and beat me, but during the entire process I recited Teacher's Fa at heart. Teacher said,

I think it was because I was attached to interfering in the lives of my husband and children that the police treated me so despicably. When I let go of this mind-set, the police's attitude softened.

On the third day, they promised to release me at once if I told them the name of the person that supplied the truth-clarification materials. I thought immediately of what Teacher said,

"Only at the critical moment can we see his heart. If he doesn't let go of certain attachments he might even dare to betray a Buddha--could this be a minor problem?" (From "Huge Exposure" in Essentials for Further Advancement.)

I remained silent. When they realized that they couldn't obtain any information from me, they took me back to the cell. Next, I went on a seven-day hunger strike. At noon on the 14th day, the police summoned me and told me that I would be released, but it turned out that they were taking me to a women's forced labor camp without notifying my family. On the way there, I kept sending righteous thoughts. Once at the camp, the camp police told them, "Your documents are not valid. You must issue a different one and come back tomorrow." The next morning, the police took me to the camp again. However, the document was not valid again. Finally the police had to release me.

Teacher is immensely compassionate to save me from the evil's den again. To repay Teacher's grace, I must do my best in doing the Three Things well and cultivate until the end.
