Falun Dafa Gave My 83-Year-Old Mother a Second Chance at Life

(Clearwisdom.net) My mother is a practitioner living in Jimo, Shandong Province. She is 83 years old. When she was young, she had bronchitis, which later developed into emphysema. She needed medicine and injections all year round, but they didn't do much any good. In the fall of 1998, most of my family started to practice Falun Gong. My mother was illiterate, so my sisters and I took turns reading Dafa books to her whenever we had time. We often played Teacher's lecture tapes in Dalian for her to watch. We also taught her to practice the exercises in the morning and evening. Gradually, like a miracle, her bronchitis and emphysema that had bothered her for decades were cured. She no longer coughed or had asthma. The whole family deeply appreciated that Teacher and Dafa had saved her life.

Jiang's regime has been persecuting Falun Gong since July 20, 1999. We gradually realized the evil nature of Jiang's regime and further strengthened our righteous belief in Teacher and Dafa. In July 2000, my sisters and I went to Beijing at different times to validate Dafa. We were illegally arrested and persecuted in many ways, including illegal detentions, blackmail, fines, and forced labor. Police also pressured and threatened our family members.

In October 2001, my mother suddenly developed bronchitis again, which she had not had for three years. She was very ill. At the hospital she was then diagnosed with late stage lung cancer, and we were told that she could die at any time. All her family members knew very well that even the best hospital could not cure her illness. I suddenly had a thought that only Dafa could save my mother's life, so I suggested that we take her home immediately. Maybe there was still hope for her if we asked Teacher and Dafa for help. With no other option, my family members hesitatingly agreed to my suggestion. Next day, we arranged for my mother's release from the hospital. At home, we played Teacher's lecture tapes in Dalian for her to watch. She sat and watched the lecture tapes for three to four hours every day. Her condition dramatically improved. On the sixth day after she returned home from the hospital, she suddenly had diarrhea but did not feel any pain. She went to the bathroom five or six times in the morning and got rid of a lot of black substances. My youngest sister said, "Oh, no, Mother's cancer cells have spread to her intestines." I was lost, wondering if my mother was about to die.

That night, however, a miracle happened. My mother's high fever, which had lasted for more than 40 days, was gone. Her stomach problem also disappeared. We experienced the wonders of Dafa once again. With tears all over my face, I could not find the words to express my appreciation to Teacher and Dafa. Later I realized that Teacher had cleared my mother's body and gotten rid of the bad substances within her.

Three years have passed since that event, and my mother still lives in good health. Although bad people have persecuted Dafa practitioners for more than six years, we always firmly believe that Dafa is the most righteous.
