My Experience Clarifying the Truth in Hong Kong

(Clearwisdom.net) An article about a Shandong Falun Dafa practitioner on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website prompted the memory of my experiences while clarifying the truth in Hong Kong.

The Shandong practitioner said, "Thank you, overseas practitioners!" He said that while the partner of a new practitioner was visiting overseas, he saw people with banners and signs advising others to withdraw from the CCP. This has helped truth clarification within China and allowed people to see things usually not available in China. Most importantly, it has given great encouragement to practitioners within China, who are surviving under the harsh environment.

As more and more people understand the truth, there is an increasing number of moving stories reported about truth clarification. Within a few short days, I have had to say goodbye to a number of Chinese nationals. These goodbyes have deeply touched all of our hearts. When these precious Chinese people return to their homeland, I believe they will remember what I said and will spread the word that people in the outside, free world care about them.

An elderly man on a tour bus was reading our truth clarification signs word for word through the bus windows. He finished one sign and went on to another. Another elderly practitioner and I changed the display boards a number of times.

A child from the Mainland made a Heshi gesture and bowed towards the picture of a practitioner sending forth righteous thoughts. Another man from Mainland China shook hands enthusiastically with a practitioner wearing a hat with the words, "The heavens destroy the CCP." He also asked his friends to take a photo.

A practitioner who is a retired teacher from Taiwan was clarifying the truth to many Mainland tourists. As more and more people gathered around her, she almost lost her voice trying to let everyone hear what she was saying. The next day, she brought a mini microphone. This was very effective, especially when reading Teacher's article in Essentials for Further Advancement "Wealth and Virtue." This moved the Mainland tourists very much. Some people even told other practitioners that they wanted to hear more from this retired teacher practitioner.

Later I used a microphone to say to a crowd of Chinese tourists who were across the road, "I came here to bring justice to Falun Gong. Falun Gong is good!" "Those who practice Falun Gong are good people. There are people in more than 70 countries practicing Falun Gong. Every morning, in parks and schools, there are people practicing Falun Gong. However, the 610 Office within China uses very cruel methods to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. These violent and inhumane tortures have been exposed on the Internet. Police officer He Xuejian in Zuozhou City, Hebei Province, raped two practitioners in a police station. The practitioners are around 50 years old--the age of He Xuejian's own mother. This kind of lowly act has also been exposed to the world."

A man stopped and listened with a serious expression. Slowly, more and more people walked over to the other side of the road. As they crossed, they called for others to come with them. Soon, more and more people began gathering across the road, so I just walked directly over to that side.

This group of people started to ask questions such as, "What are the benefits of practicing Falun Gong? Can Falun Gong heal illnesses? How do you practice Falun Gong? Do you have to eat after practicing Falun Gong? Can you fly after practicing Falun Gong?"

I said, "Falun Gong can heal illnesses and make you healthier. It emphasizes how to be a good person and the cultivation of one's moral character." I pointed to the words Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance on the banner and said, "We follow Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance in our daily life. We do good deeds and strive to become more compassionate and virtuous."

I also told them that the "Tiananmen Self-Immolation" was staged by the CCP. I also explained to them that, as practitioners, we do not kill living things, let alone commit suicide.

We all treasured the short time we had together while taking a lunch break. As we ate, we exchanged experiences of our truth clarification activity of the day. We also planned a time when we would come back to Hong Kong.

After dinner, we studied the Fa. Sometimes we would read two lectures a night from Zhuan Falun. One night, we finished the entire book of Essentials for Further Advancement II. After Fa study, some Hong Kong practitioners must then drive for more than an hour to return home. One practitioner came to Fa study every night after finishing work at 9 p.m. On one occasion, after finishing sending forth righteous thoughts at midnight, she missed the last bus and had to catch the subway to get home. After getting off the subway, there was no bus to her house so she had to walk home. She listened to Teacher's lectures on the way and by the time she returned home, it was almost 2 a.m.

I hope that all practitioners who have the opportunity will go to Hong Kong to clarify the truth. Hong Kong truly needs you!
