Falun Gong Practitioners Win Admiration of Audience at San Diego St. Patrick's Day Parade

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 11, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from San Diego California participated in the traditional Irish holiday's St. Patrick's Day Parade. On that day it rained heavily and later even hailed in the nearly always sunny San Diego. But Falun Gong practitioners ignored the weather's interference and displayed the beauty of Falun Dafa. They won the admiration of the spectators.

The parade started from famous Balboa Park, marched through downtown and returned to the park. About two hundred groups participated in the parade. Falun Gong's procession was composed of a "Falun Dafa" banner, waist drum team, a decorated float and a celestial maiden dance group.

Soon after the parade started, it began to rain heavily. A short while later, the rain changed to hail. As the bean-sized hail hit the ground, the temperature dropped quickly. Other parade processions opened umbrellas and covered their floats, but the Falun Gong practitioners were not restrained by the weather and continued to demonstrate the exercises and perform their waist drum routines and dances. The spectators were moved by the persistence of the practitioners and gave them applause wherever they went. One westerner called out loudly, "Falun Dafa is great!" One lady put a traditional green necklace on the waist drum leader. Many people gave the thumbs up sign and admiring looks.

After the parade, the rain and hail stopped. Some practitioners brought truth-clarifying materials and passed them out to people attending the event. Many of the spectators recognized the practitioners' yellow exercise suits and recalled the procession in the rain. They praised the practitioners, saying, "Your procession was great!"
