Taiwan: Clarifying the Truth at Sun Moon Lake

(Clearwisdom.net) The natural beauty of Sun Moon Lake is renowned around the world. Most foreign visitors who come to Taiwan will visit it. Everyone is precious and predestined, whether being from Japan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, or the Philippines.

From among the many scenic sites at Sun Moon Lake, we selected Wenwu Temple as our location to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. There is a large patio right in front the temple. Visitors usually stand on the patio to view the beautiful lake and experience the quiet and relaxed atmosphere at the bottom of the mountain adjacent to the lake. Early every morning, Dafa practitioners come to set up the exhibit and take it away around 9:00 a.m. In some areas, the exhibit stays the entire day. With the efforts of practitioners during the last few years, we have kept a good relationship with the local street peddlers, and this area has become a good place to clarify the truth.

The following are a few short stories about what happened there.

Thanks to the efforts of Dafa practitioners over a long time, it has become relatively easier to clarify the truth. Many visitors from Mainland China, tour guides, and drivers have a positive impression of Falun Dafa. Once a fellow practitioner and I went to Sun Moon Lake to clarify the truth when it was pouring rain. It started to rain in the early morning, and we were all wet even though we were wearing raincoats. Our feet were soaked in soggy shoes and felt very uncomfortable. However, we stayed. In the morning, several tourist delegations from Mainland China visited, and they took a lot of truth clarification materials. In the afternoon, there were fewer visitors, and we also felt cold and sleepy. Around 2-3 o'clock, we were planning to go home if no visitors showed up in the next ten minutes. Two more delegations from the Mainland arrived within ten minutes. They took all the truth clarification materials with them. I knew from my heart that Master was encouraging us, and also giving the Mainland tourists a chance to understand the truth of Dafa.

On another occasion, we had a group of tourists from Mainland China, and I was clarifying the truth to the tour guide. The tour guide told me that he knew everything I said, and I should clarify the truth to the tourists. Immediately, a fellow practitioner and I went to speak to the group. I asked my fellow practitioner to send forth righteous thoughts, and I clarified the truth to them. They were surprised to see us, since we were wearing yellow clothes printed with "Falun Dafa is Great." After listening to the truth, they asked a lot of questions. During the question and answer session, I noticed that their facial expressions changed from reserved, suspicious, and arrogant to understanding, friendly, and appreciative. They thanked us. I was convinced that they were saved. Finally, I told them to tell the truth to their family members and relatives and that if they perform good deeds and accumulate virtue, they will receive blessings. They responded, "Yes."

Not long ago, a group of Mainland tourists responded positively towards Dafa, and took most of the truth clarification materials with them. I showed them the pictures of "The Journey of Fa-Rectification," and suggested that one of the tourists take a picture as a souvenir. He did and showed me the picture afterwards.

There are also examples of things that did not go the way we hoped. There was a group of Mainland tourists who came to visit and I tried to clarify the truth to the tour guide. For some reason, he didn't want to listen and began to slander Dafa. I kept talking with him in a friendly manner until they boarded their bus, but he was not listening. I looked for faults within myself and realized that I had the attachment of competitiveness, while lacking cooperation from fellow practitioners. About a month later, that tour guide came back with another group of Mainland tourists. After my fellow practitioners and I sent forth righteous thoughts, I began to clarify the truth to him. He then understood the truth. Before leaving, he said in a friendly voice, "Bless you!"

There are more and more Mainland tourists coming to visit Sun Moon Lake. Fellow practitioners can come to Sun Moon Lake to clarify the truth when it is possible.
