(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Ms. Liu Weishan of Xiangyang City, Hubei Province was tortured to the verge of death at Wuhan City Women's Prison. She was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment on January 31, 2006. According to her visitors, Ms. Liu was tortured so severely that she is emaciated, her muscles constantly cramp and her eyesight is cloudy. She is in very bad shape.

Ms. Liu Weishan was a teacher in the Hanjiang Mechanical Factory High School in Xiangyang City, Hubei Province. She had been illegally arrested many times because she persisted in practicing Falun Dafa.

In September 2002, Ms. Liu was arrested and detained at the Xiangyang City Second Detention Center for clarifying the facts in the government courtyard of the Wangzhai District in Xiangyang City. Hu Xindai, the Communist Party secretary of Hanjiang Mechanical Factory, even said to the 610 Office agents, "As long as you don't release Liu, we can give you as much money as you want." Under the persecution of the 610 Office and Communist Party leaders of Hanjiang Mechanical Factory, Ms. Liu was illegally sentenced to four years in Wuhan City Women's Prison.

During her detention, she was tortured severely. Only when she was on the verge of death did the prison secretly send her to the 364 Hospital of the Aviation Center. The prison guards felt guilty and afraid, so they did not fill in Ms. Liu's name on the hospitalization application form. The prison also sent two guards to monitor her around the clock.

When they learned about Ms. Liu's situation, her colleagues, students, and friends went to visit her. The visitors returned and said, "How could such a good person be tortured this way? She is emaciated, her muscles constantly cramp, and her eyesight is cloudy. She is in pitiable shape."

After February 11, 2006, (January 14 of the lunar calendar), when people once again went to the hospital to visit Ms. Liu, they saw a sign on the door which read, "Seriously ill patient, no visitors allowed." Every visitor was interrogated. Why? People discovered that the Communist Party secretary of the 364 Hospital is the former deputy-secretary of Hanjiang Mechanical Factory, Fan Zhiyong.

Ms. Liu's current situation is worrisome. We are asking the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong to investigate this case and bring the perpetrators to justice no matter where they are.

So far, the following people are found to have been involved in the persecution of Ms. Liu:
