The Persecution of Dafa Practitioners in the Xindu District, Chengdu City

Practitioner Lin Xiaoquan from the Number 6 Group of Qingshi Village, Xinnong Town, Xinfan Town, Xindu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, was arrested by local police on July 27, 2005, and released on July 31. After Lin Xiaoquan gradually recovered, people from the Xindu District 610 Office and the Xinfan Town local police station broke into Lin's home again and arrested Lin.

Lin Xiaoquan was illegally imprisoned in Chengdu Detention Center and the Xindu Detention Center, where Lin suffered brutal torture from beatings and other cruel methods of torture. Lin's body and psychological state were seriously damaged. At present, Lin Xiaoquan is illegally imprisoned in Xindu District Detention Center.

On the night of June 29, 2005, when Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Congqing and another practitioner were distributing truth clarification materials, they were arrested and imprisoned in Xindu District Detention Center. In the detention center, Mr. Yang was forced to wear shackles and handcuffs. Mr. Yang couldn't stand up straight nor could he put on or take off his clothing. The responsible policeman, Zhang Hui, pressured Mr. Yang by telling him if he didn't write a guarantee statement, if he continued to tell others about Falun Gong, or if he didn't write a repentance letter, they would not unlock the shackles and handcuffs, and they would imprison him indefinitely.

When practitioner Ms. Huang Xiangling from Mulan Town in the Xindu District hung a truth clarification banner, she was arrested by the police and sent to the detention center, from which she was twice taken away and persecuted by officers from the Sanhe Police Station. They didn't let her sleep and forced her to wear shackles and handcuffs. Her legs became black from bruising and swelled to the width of her pants from the beatings. Her hands were handcuffed to a stool. The handcuffs cut into her flesh. A month latter the detention center authorities signed a release card, but the Xindu District Mulan Town government and police station wouldn't let her leave and imprisoned her in the police station. Ms. Huang escaped with her righteous thoughts, but since then she has had to become homeless and can't return home. In the past year, the authorities have continuously and illegally harassed Ms. Huang's family and threatened them, saying that if they caught her, they would sentence her to prison for six or seven years. Under such intense pressure, Ms. Huang's mother in-law and husband both became sick and thin due to constant worry.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuhua from the Xindu District began to practice Dafa in 1997 and entered a state of good health and peace of mind. Her relationship with her family also became harmonious. After July 20,1999, when the persecution started, Ms. Wang and her fellow practitioners went to Beijing to appeal in 2000. In Tiananmen Square where there were a lot of police, she was arrested just because she acknowledged she was a practitioner. Ms. Wang was sent back to a local detention center and "illegally detained" for 15 days.

In November 2000, when Ms. Wang was clarifying the truth, she was again detained and imprisoned for 15 days. During the New Year's holiday, local town government officials and police from the local police station illegally arrested her from her home, took her to the detention center, and imprisoned her for one month. After Jiang Zemin's political rogue gang created the staged "self-immolation" incident, the CCP detained her for another 15 days. On October 25, 2002, Ms. Wang Xiuhua was arrested from her home and taken to a local brainwashing center by the town government and local police. In the center they tried to force practitioners to give up their belief in Falun Dafa. Ms. Wang was illegally imprisoned for five months and suffered inhuman torture. At the end of 2003, the town government and local police came again and took her away from her home to the notorious Xinjin Brainwashing Center, imprisoning and persecuting her for one month.
