Turkey: Practitioners Clarify the Truth in National Assembly

(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners in Turkey visited the National Assembly on February 8, 9, and 13. A petition has been submitted to the Human Rights Committee.

The petition states that Falun Dafa is a peaceful meditation based on the universal principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance." It has enormous positive affects on health and is practiced by 100 million people in 78 countries of the world.

Falun Dafa has been granted many awards and letters of recognition. It is respected by the whole world except in China. Practitioners have been tortured since 1999 in China and the methods used in persecution are extremely cruel.

We are asking our government to show sensitivity, as shown by other democratic countries in the world, to help to stop the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Some of the members of assembly who are on the human rights committee received personal visits and were told the facts about the persecution. A delegate to the European Council, Mr. Abdulkadir Ates, agreed to see the practitioners. He said that he was definitely going to support Falun Dafa when there was an opportunity to do so.

The reactions toward Falun Dafa by the people who work in the National Assembly are very supportive. A lot of people have learned more about Dafa and are shocked to learn that the practice is banned in China. They said that they wanted to learn the exercises, and could feel that the energy around the practitioners is calm and pure. We promised to teach them the exercises and gave them brochures. We suggested teaching them the exercises in the gardens of parliament. They were so supportive that they gave us the use of a cupboard to keep our truth-clarification materials in, as they thought they were too heavy to bring back and forth.

Practitioners of Falun Dafa in Turkey will keep clarifying the truth as we think that Falun Dafa has brought happiness and amazing health to our lives. This is the least we can do. We believe we can never do enough for Dafa and Master.
