On September 12, 2005, Dafa disciple, Mr. Zhang Zhongyi, 52 years old, was transferred to Handan from the No.1 Forced Labor Camp in the Kaiping Area of Tangshan City, Hebei Province. On December 8, 2005, because Mr. Zhang declared that the five statements he had written (the "Dissociation Statement," the Guarantee Statement, the Repentance Statement, the "Criticizing Statement," and the "Determination Statement") were completely void, guard Xing Yansheng beat him many times. He also suffered physical abuse for over 10 days. The physical abuse still continues. During the first few days, he was abused for more than 10 hours daily. Every day, he was forced to stand until one or two a.m.. Moreover, Xing Yansheng beat him on the head heavily everyday. During this period, Xing also attacked Mr. Zhang with an electric baton. As a result, Mr. Zhang experienced headaches for a week. His hearing also decreased. As he was forced to stand for long periods of time, Mr. Zhang's legs and feet became swollen. When he was at Hebei Province No.1 Forced Labor Camp in the Kaiping Area, Tangshan City, he was once beaten until his nose bled to the point that blood covered his entire body. Team leader Zhou Fasheng was responsible for this. Inmate Zhang Jingquan stripped off Mr. Zhang's clothes, which could then not be found anywhere.

On December 12, 2005, police guard Wang Zhiming brought Dafa discple Mr. Gu Daping to his office and severely beat him. This incident occurred only because Mr. Gu pointed out that it was wrong to call people names.

On December 14, 2005, Dafa disciple Huang Yunzhang spoke with the team leader and said, "Falun Gong is righteous and teaches people to be compassionate. Brainwashing is coercion and it is false." Because of this, guards Wang Zhiming, Xing Yansheng, and Li Haiming beat him for half an hour in the office. After that, he was forced to stand for a long time, about five to ten hours, each day. During that time, Xing Yansheng beat him many times.

Dafa disciple Mr. Xia Shengguo was transferred to Handan from Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp in Hebei Province. On December 15, 2005, during the so-called Security Inspection, he was found with Falun Gong books. He was surrounded and beaten on the spot by four police guards, including Li Haiming and Wang Zhiming. On December 18, 2005, policeman Xing Yansheng shocked Mr. Xia Shengguo with electric batons. On December 24, Mr. Xia was taken to the office and shocked with electric batons. The excuse was that his voice was too soft when he called out numbers.

On December 20, 2005, a special division of the Handan Forced Labor Camp cooperated with several police guards in the Education Section. They started a new cycle of persecution of Dafa disciples who had not yet been brainwashed. The so-called "SWAT Team Campaign" targeted three Dafa disciples--Fan Lianbing, Zhang Li, and Li Zhen, all of whom were transferred from the Tangshan City Forced Labor Camp. Since the night of December 20, these three Dafa disciples have been detained in three separate rooms. The team leader appointed special people (so-called "teaching assistants") to watch over them 24 hours a day in turn, not allowing them to sleep. During that period, the team leaders took turns brainwashing them, day and night. Mr. Fan Lianbing was shocked with electric batons and beaten by police guard Xing Yansheng for several hours.
