Exposing the Criminal Conduct of Nanjing Police Station Officials in Jilin City


(Clearwisdom.net) Jilin City Falun Gong practitioners Jianguo Wang and Qiumei Zhao (husband and wife) were searched illegally at home. Officers from the Nanjing Police Station in the Chuanying region arrested them on March 2, 2006. The unlawful police search resulted in about 30,000 yuan in losses of personal belongings and cash. A family member went to the police station and asked for the money back, but the police officers' were very rude. One of them yelled, "We won't talk to you! Go away immediately! You can go wherever you like to try to sue us!"

On March 10, 2006, when the couple's family went to the Nanjing Police Station again to ask about the arrested couple and present a list of the stolen items that they wished returned, police officer Xinqing Tan who handles the case said, "We only need to give the list of items to Jianguo Wang. One person seeing it is enough. We don't need to give anything back to you." The police claimed that the "items" would be used as "evidence" for prosecution against the couple. When the family members asked for their money back a policeman said sarcastically, "I don't know. How did you know about this incident so quickly?"

After Nanjing Police Station agents arrested Jianguo Wang, they extorted a confession under torture, seriously injuring his face and arm. It is suspected that they broke his arm, or some other bone, otherwise they would not have gone to the hospital to obtain a fake certificate. In order to avoid responsibility for their criminal acts, an agent from the Nanjing Police Station went to the city's central hospital to obtain a false medical record for Jianguo Wang. The false medical record states: "Jianguo Wang damaged his face and arm when he jumped from a second floor window." But this false medical record was far from the reality, and was full of loopholes. When his family members went to the police station and asked for the couple's release, officer Xinqiang Tan changed his statement. He said, "Jianguo Wang did not fall from the second floor and hurt himself; he fell while running and damaged his face and arm."

On March 10, policeman Bin Fu from Hadawan Station led a group of officers and drove in three vehicles to Jianguo Wang's father's home. They wanted to arrest his father, Shusen Wang, because they were afraid that he would appeal for Falun Dafa. Even though the door was locked and no one was at home, they broke the door down and recklessly searched his home and property.

Jianguo Wang and his wife are currently detained at Jilin City's Number One Detention Center in violation of the Chinese constitution.
