(Clearwisdom.net) On April 14, Sherry Zhang, spokeswoman of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution, the full name of which is the
"Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG)", warmly welcomed renowned civil rights lawyer Gao
Zhisheng to join the coalition and expressed admiration for his courage.
Sherry Zhang said: "We all admire his courage. He is still in Mainland
China and is under close monitoring. He is so courageous to openly announce that
he wants to join this investigation coalition while facing all the threats. We
are very happy to have him on board."
Attorney Gao stressed before that he not only wished to join but also
believed that he was qualified for this coalition:
"I want to emphasize that my wish to join this process is not out of my
personal career pursuit. I know of Falun Gong practitioners' suffering and have
contact with them. If people, including the CCP, wish that the investigation
will proceed without interference, I think I should join this process."
Attorney Gao believes that people should learn from the lesson of the
holocaust and initiate the investigation as soon as possible.
"I hope such an investigation will be carried out as soon as possible
because every minute of delay costs numerous innocent lives. We shall not regard
these lives simply as a sacrifice of Falun Gong practitioners or their
relatives; this is a sacrifice of the value of justice for all mankind,"
attorney Gao said.
