Police Arrest Practitioners and Ransack Their Homes in Fengtai District, Beijing


(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of March 5, 2006, Officer Chen Gang from the Kandan Police Station in the Fengtai District, Beijing, along with several officers from the Fengtai Police Bureau, went to practitioner Yu Hongmei's home and illegally arrested her. She is being held at the Fengtai Detention Center.

On Feburary 24, undercover agents from the Beijing State Security Bureau invaded practitioner Liu Yanqin's home, took her into custody, and held her at the Fengtai Police Bureau. The incident traumatized Ms. Liu's daughter. When Ms. Liu's husband came home from work, he was too frightened to do anything about it.

Ms. Liu is 50 years old, and her home address is Wujialou Jiajia Garden, #6 Building, Apartment 7-501. On February 24, while she and her daughter were watching TV, they suddenly heard knocking at their door. As Ms. Liu's daughter opened the door, the undercover agents, along with plainclothes officers from the Tiejiangying Police Station - a total of nine people - burst into their home. They ransacked the house and confiscated the Falun Gong books and materials.

After this illegal search, they took Ms. Liu to the Tiejiangying Police Station for interrogation. They took her daughter along as well. At around 4:00 a.m. the next day, they transferred Ms. Liu to the Fengtai Police Bureau.

Police arrested practitioner Liu Yuying, in her 40s, during the period of the National Congress Meeting. She is currently being held at the Fengtai Detention Center. Police ransacked Ms. Liu's home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and materials.

At about 7:00 p.m. on February 22, officers from the Shiliuzhuang Police Station of the Fengtai District arrested practitioner Ms. Su Menghua at her residence, the dormitory of the Beijing Third Leather Factory.

Police arrested Ms. Han Sumei, a practitioner from the Fengtai District. She is currently being held at the Fengtai Detention Center. This is the eighth time police have arrested and detained her.
