Wenyi Wang demands that Chinese Communist Chairman Hu Jintao end the persecution of Falun Gong during a ceremony on the south lawn of the White House on April 20, 2006

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning on April 20, Chinese Communist Party leader Hu Jintao visited the White House. At the welcoming ceremony on the south lawn, a Chinese woman suddenly appeared next to a camera which was filming the ceremony and unfurled a yellow banner after President Bush's speech. She also shouted messages in both Chinese and English such as, "Falun Dafa is good", and "Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong". Her brave act shocked everyone present. After a protest lasting more than two minutes, she was taken away by security.

According to a report on CNN, the Chinese Communist regime's live broadcast of the meeting was consequently suspended.

An investigation reveals that the woman is Dr. Wenyi Wang, a Chinese American. Dr Wang graduated from Bethune University of Medicine in Jinlin province, China. She came to the United States 16 years ago to study western medicine and received a PhD from the University of Chicago. She is a practicing physician in the New York Mount Sinai Hospital and she is a Falun Gong practitioner.

According to an investigation by the CIPFG (Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong), the Chinese Communist regime is organizing its resources to destroy eyewitnesses and evidence of its underground concentration camps before May 1. Consequently, many hospitals around the nation are working overtime to perform transplant operations, and the organs for these operations are coming from those eyewitnesses, the Falun Gong practitioners. Consequently, the international community must take urgent actions to investigate and stop the atrocities. The Minghui/Clearwisdom notes that MSNBC broadcasted Dr Wang's protest and then interviewed Christopher H. Smith, Chairperson of the House Subcommittee on Africa, Global Human Rights and International Operations. Both the MSNBC reporter and Congressman Smith gave positive, in-depth comments on the protest.

Dr. Wang has played a very important role in the investigation of claims that the CCP is harvesting organs from living practitioners. She has been able to use her medical expertise to help evaluate the reports of organ harvesting and had direct contact with the two original witnesses to the atrocities. She was shocked by the crimes that were revealed. However, this organ harvesting claim was not even mentioned during a Congressional human rights hearing on China which coincided with the Chinese Communist Chairman's visit . Dr Wang was very much saddened.

When interviewed by Sound of Hope Radio, Dr Wang said that evidence has indicated that the Chinese Communist regime gave orders to secretly steal and sell Falun Gong practitioners' organs in 2001. She compared this crime to the holocaust. She said that her act was completely her own and was not influenced by any groups or organizations.

As the voice of protest was very clear in the live broadcast, many media also turned their camcorders to the crowd of protestors and Hu Jintao was apparently upset, showing an embarrassed expression. A huge crowd of Falun Gong practitioners was protesting outside the White House and the Chinese Communist officials present at the site all seemed very nervous. After finishing his speech, Hu even walked away in the wrong direction and President Bush had to drag him back.

At 2:00 p.m. on March 16, a House hearing, "Monitoring Respect for Human Rights Around the World: A Review of the Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for 2005" - was held at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, DC. Congressman Smith said at the hearing: "human rights are not a compromise or welfare given by a government, but are the basic rights of everyone based on human beings' dignity and worth."

Mr. Smith said that some human rights are fundamental and are the foundation of other rights. Among them, the right to live is foremost. If one's life is endangered, all other rights will become meaningless. Therefore, every life is of paramount importance.
