When studying Teacher's new article "Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles", one sentence in particular stood out to me: "I needed Dafa disciples to have the courage to reveal the truth as they went about validating the Fa..." Upon looking back at some practitioners' previous behaviors and results, I now understand it better.

In Sanshui Women's Labor Camp, Guangdong Province, many practitioners were forced to undergo brainwashing and became confused at that time. They continued to behave as "good" citizens, and the police would persecute them as much as they wanted, such as extending detention terms without any reason. However, there was one practitioner who was different from the others. On the surface, she appeared very hasty, and many practitioners noticed that. "Some people have become like matches--one stroke and they ignite. They're like land mines--one step and they detonate." ("Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles") This, however, helped a lot to oppose the persecution.

At that time many practitioners wanted to go home, but dared not to speak out. Upon finding this out, this practitioner wrote an open letter to the police and 610 Office, requesting to return home. She then circulated the letter in Division I and Division II, which was agreed upon by everyone. Some practitioners who refused to be "transformed" thought those who had been "transformed" should also be released.

One day, the assistant director of the labor camp came to talk with this practitioner, saying, "We have food, drinks, and lot of fun here. Why do you want to go home?" This practitioner replied, "It is still a prison here. Who wants to live in a prison?!" The assistant director had nothing to say.

Upon seeing her talking this way, many practitioners also went to talk with the police guards, demanding their basic human rights and immediate release. During that period of time, practitioners joined together to oppose the persecution. Some thought the police would punish this practitioner, but nothing happened. Plus, in those several days, every day there were double rainbows in the sky. Practitioners felt encouraged by this, and realized they did the right thing. Later this practitioner was released before her term expired. Motivated by her, more practitioners also became more courageous, rather than being timid when given unreasonable orders.

At the same time, now our understanding of the Fa is more mature, so we should get rid of our attachments.
