Attaching Importance to Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts

(Clearwisdom.net) In 2001 when Master told us to send forth righteous thoughts, I was not studying the Fa well. Although I believed sending forth righteous thoughts would definitely be effective because Master asked us to do it, I had no confidence in my own righteous thoughts and did not attach importance to them. When I sent forth righteous thoughts, there were stray thoughts mixed in, and I took it as a job that had to be done.

In 2003, I was illegally arrested and persecuted in a labor camp. Some fellow practitioners told me we should send forth righteous thoughts every hour, and remind each other. One day, a fellow practitioner heard the guards talking secretly about a conference that night, making people who were "transformed" talk about their experiences one by one. So this fellow practitioner spread the information, and everybody knew it quickly. We all sent forth righteous thoughts immediately to eliminate the evil factors behind the evil conference and disintegrate it. At night when we stopped work and finished supper, all the practitioners sat to rest in a circle. A fellow practitioner on duty came and said, "It is six sharp. We won't work tonight and will have a conference." I realized immediately it was time to send forth righteous thoughts globally, and we should do that too. As I recited the Fa-rectification verses, I felt that my forehead was tight, feeling like two groups were fighting each other. After half an hour, guards claimed that the conference tonight was cancelled. We were later told that it was because there were too few guards, but we knew it was actually the result of our righteous thoughts, which eliminated the evil, and denied the old force arrangements. This was the first time I realized the power of righteous thoughts.

After I came home from the forced labor camp, I studied the Fa carefully, and came to understand the importance of sending forth righteous thoughts. I then insisted on sending forth righteous thoughts and clearing all the evil factors inside my own space. Through studying Fa continually, I rectified my own path continually. As for sending forth righteous thoughts, I went from not knowing how to clear the evil factors when sending forth righteous thoughts to being able to master it. This process was realized by studying the Fa, getting rid of attachments and purifying myself continually.

I read many stories about eliminating evil with righteous thoughts in Minghui Weekly, and was much encouraged. But when I really came to do it, there were still many attachments hindering me. One day I saw a Chinese flag in one of the activity rooms in our department. After asking others, I learned that they wanted to hold a taekwondo class. I wanted to secretly take down the national flag, but did not dare to. As to sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate it, I was still afraid that my righteous thoughts were not strong enough to have an effect. After two days of fighting in my mind, I suddenly enlightened that I was a Dafa disciple, what we did was the most righteous thing, and that we should not be affected by old force arrangements. So, I insisted on sending forth righteous thoughts, and after three days, the evil flag disappeared. Others told me that the class was cancelled because there were so few people.

This March, during the two conferences of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the two leaders in our department sneered at me every day. One day, I thought, "Why not send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors behind them?" I then added this in at the four global times of sending forth righteous thoughts. Their attitudes then changed. They are now very warm when meeting with me, and gentler when talking.

When I talk with fellow practitioners, some do not attach importance to sending forth righteous thoughts. They do not see the effects of their righteous thoughts, so they do not believe their righteous thoughts are strong. This is because they did not study the Fa well. Only we study the Fa well, and send forth righteous thoughts well, can we do the three things well.

These are only some thoughts of mine, and I hope they will help fellow practitioners.
