Some Thoughts on the Wang Wenyi Incident

(Clearwisdom.net) We all witnessed the effect of Wang Wenyi's shouting at the White House South Lawn. Many media have broken their silence regarding the persecution of Falun Gong or the removal of organs from living practitioners, and have widely reported these facts. The actions of Falun Dafa practitioners immediately following this incident have helped ordinary people understand it from a bigger perspective and this has reduced the negative effects of the incident. Fellow practitioners still have different opinions on her behavior from a cultivation point of view. Personally, I believe what Ms. Wang did was from her understanding and enlightenment based on her own realm. I cannot say if it was wrong, but others should not copy her actions.

It has been more than one month since the organ removal from living practitioners has been exposed, but due to many reasons (chief of which is that disciples' xinxing has not upgraded high enough to deconstruct the old force's remaining elements), all major ordinary media have avoided reporting the facts. In spite of the fact that we've tried to clarify the truth to people and government officials, we are still far from the requirement of the Fa-rectification. Personally, I believe this persecution fact should be the world's top headline. Many practitioners, including myself, have tried to help in this task, but have not had a breakthrough. Ms. Wang Wenyi did what she wanted according to her understanding and her way. I think it is a manifestation of confirming one level of the Fa.

After this incident, if others find better ways, please do so accordingly to make this incident more harmonious. If anyone thinks that Ms. Wang Wenyi exposed her attachments (such as getting too excited, and not all of the words were appropriate), why not simply point it out for her so she can improve? We need to avoid two extremes; one is treating her as a hero or role model, because we all know there are not any heroes or role models in our cultivation practice, and we should never imitate her directly. The other is worrying that the Falun Dafa media would lose its professional standing and totally negate Ms. Wang's action. Currently, we should try our best to reduce the negative effect, and save more sentient beings.

Master taught us in early times, "Because of disciples' differences in understanding, some disciples always go from one extreme to the other. Whenever they read the Fa I have written they take extreme actions, thereby causing new problems." ("Take the Middle Way", Essentials for Further Advancement). An example is the author of Witnessing History: One Woman's Fight for Freedom and Falun Gong, who was viewed as an anti-persecution hero first by some fellow practitioner, then as a stranger, which indicated these practitioners' failure to take a middle way. Only by being rational can one take the middle way; any extreme attitudes and behavior that are not rational are deviations from the Fa.

Ms. Wang Wenyi will appear in court on May 3, 2006. During this time period we need to clarify the truth intensively, and also upgrade our understandings as one body. As some fellow practitioners have pointed out, the positive after-effect of this incident will be produced by a group effort from all practitioners looking at it with righteous thoughts. Hence, let us not put too much thought into the incident itself, but use it to validate the Fa better, stop the persecution as early as possible, and disintegrate the CCP. If we can do that, the accusations against Ms. Wang Wenyi will be withdrawn smoothly, and her tribulation will not be enlarged. Each one of us should maintain strong righteous thoughts and a pure mind.
