Australia Broadcast Corporation: Australian Government Rescinds Restrictions Against Falun Gong's Protest


(Clearwisdom.net) On April 4, the Australian Broadcast Corporation reported that Falun Gong's attorney said that he welcomed the move that the government rescinded the restrictions against the group's protest outside the Chinese Embassy in Canberra.

The lawyer said, Foreign Minister Downer had now ceased signing the certificates which forbid practitioners from displaying large banners, and this was a remarkable win for freedom of expression in Australia.

He said that Falun Gong's lawsuit against Minister Downer has been stopped.
