(Clearwisdom.net) On April 2, 2006, nearly one million visitors came to Washington DC to view the cherry blossom flowers. Visitors filled the areas near the Jefferson Memorial and watched the ethnic performances on a stage near the lake. Falun Gong practitioners from Washington DC were invited to perform on the stage.

In the afternoon, Falun Gong practitioners performed the Heavenly Maiden Fan Dance, Waist Drums and demonstrated the exercises. Their performances and demonstrations received a warm welcome. Some audience members followed along with the demonstration to stretch and move too. After the performance, many people wanted to take photos with the "heavenly maiden" Falun Gong practitioners. One said his children were very interested in the exercise demonstration and were learning meditation under the stage.
Some visitors took flyers introducing Falun Dafa and exposing the Sujiatun Concentration Camp, where Falun Gong practitioners' organs were harvested alive and the bodies cremated. They were shocked to learn the truth and couldn't believe that practitioners of such a peaceful and beautiful exercise were so cruelly persecuted in China. Some visitors said that they would tell more people and would contact the White House and Congress to ask the United States government to help end the persecution.
