Falun Gong Practitioners in Boston Clarify the Truth at East Meets West Health Fair (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The 2006 East Meets West Health Fair was held at the University of Massachusetts in Boston on May 1, 2006. Western medical treatment, nutritional consultation, eastern acupuncture, and massage services were provided at the fair. Falun Gong practitioners have been demonstrating Falun Gong exercises at the health fair for three consecutive years. This year they added the demonstration of origami lotus flower making, which attracted a lot of people.

Daniel Riber is a junior majoring in Business Administration at the University of Massachusetts. He was shocked over the persecution of Falun Gong when he saw Falun Gong practitioners' anti-torture exhibit in Manhattan. He was very pleased to be able to learn the Falun Gong exercises in Boston at the fair. He expressed an interest in continuing to practice the exercises at a public group exercise site near him.

Isha Thakra is from India. He had read the Chinese Communist Party's hate propaganda materials, but was skeptical about their contents. After talking with Falun Gong practitioners at the fair, he felt his questions were finally answered. He condemned the Chinese Communist Party's cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, as well as its inhuman organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.

A father had his little girl sitting on his leg while he knelt down in front of the Falun Gong booth, listening to Falun Gong practitioners explaining the truth about Falun Gong and learning to make origami lotus flowers. It was a very touching sight.

A man with a good predestined relationship with Falun Gong returned to the Falun Gong table after he took origami papers for making a lotus flower. He said, "I have enough material to make some beautiful lotus flower petals, and a stamen and pistil, but it needs a spiritual stem for support." A Falun Gong practitioner then explained to him what Falun Gong is and the truth about the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong. The practitioner added that over 100 million Falun Gong practitioners have been relying on their faith in Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance in the past seven years of peaceful resistance against the persecution. The practitioner presented him a bookmark as a gift with a picture of a lotus flower and brief information about Falun Gong printed on it, because the lotus flower is a symbol of spiritual strength.
