(Clearwisdom.net) California Congress member Susan Davis expressed in her recent reply to a Falun Gong practitioner's letter that she was aware of the CCP's vicious persecution campaign against Falun Gong practitioners, and felt particularly appalled by the recent allegations that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been removing organs of living human beings without consent.

Davis said in her letter, "I am very aware and very concerned about the human rights situation in China. I'm particularly appalled by recent allegations that the Chinese Communist regime has been removing the organs from living human beings without consent. Numerous reports have claimed that the CCP has carried out a vicious campaign against Falun Gong practitioners and other imprisoned Chinese citizens. While the CCP has denied the existence of the persecution, the facts seem to be in dispute."

Davis said in response to these allegations that she joined many of her colleagues in signing a letter to President Bush urging him to raise the issue of unlawful organ removal allegations with CCP leader Hu Jintao. The international community cannot remain quiet in the face of human rights abuses, and she is hopeful that President Bush's meeting with President Hu results in the termination of this horrendous practice.

Davis said, "My staff and I have met many times with Falun Gong supporters and human rights advocates fighting to protect the rights of ordinary Chinese citizens. I am committed to working on improving human rights in China and around the world and am grateful for the information you sent me and for your advocacy on this very important issue. I hope you will continue to stay involved. Rest assured, I will stay engaged on this critical issue promoting dialogue, non-violence, freedom, and democracy."
