Taiwan: Spreading "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" to the Communities in Taichung

(Clearwisdom.net) To promote a multiple-faceted education and teach children spiritual principles, with the sponsorship of 18 social organizations, social educational volunteers held the "2006 Happy Learning and Gathering Love Gala" at the Taichung City Culture Center.

Falun Gong practitioners also participated in this activity. One of the event's hostesses, Pan Chia-lin, said that she is a Falun Gong practitioner and also a teacher. Many Falun Gong practitioners have improved both physically and mentally as a result of the practice. Each of them follows the principles of Falun Dafa, always thinks of others first and tries to be a good person in society. Falun Gong practitioners are also members of this society, so they are happy to contribute to their communities. They hope that more people will learn about "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance."

The audience welcomed two performances by practitioners. The first one was a dance by young practitioners. The cute and charming young practitioners won enthusiastic applause. The songs "Open the Window" and "Song of Hope" by the "Tianyin" (Heavenly Voice) Chorus were like a cool and clear stream in the hot summer, cleaning away the audience members' everyday worries.

After talking to practitioners, the chief of the Social Educational Work Station, which was the host organization, praised them for the physical and spiritual improvements they have made and for their responsible attitude. The chief of the Taichung City Department of Social Affairs, Chang Kuo-hui, also said that the practitioners' performances were excellent.
