In the morning on May 13, Taiwan Falun Dafa practitioners celebrated the World Falun Dafa Day in Taipei and send warm birthday greetings to Master Li.

On May 13, some practitioners from the greater Chicago area gathered at the Grand Park in downtown Chicago to celebrate the World Falun Dafa Day and wish Master Happy Birthday.

First of all, I would like to report how my family has benefited from Falun Dafa.

In the past 8 years, I have been healthy all the time as I strive to follow Master's teaching to cultivate myself. At the same time, 30 relatives in China have changed their opinion about Dafa and quit the evil party. My mom recites "Falun Dafa is Good" everyday and was not injured at all during two major car incidents. She is now very healthy and energetic. My brother had hepatitis B and was in critical condition. As he recites "Falun Dafa is Good" everyday, he has regained a healthy body and can work now. Meanwhile, he has learned to emphasize on traditional values and morality. My son is 6 years old and studies the Fa everyday. He is the tallest boy in the class and has the highest grade. His celestial eye is open and he knows very well to respect Master and study Fa. At my work place, many people respect Dafa and are against the persecution.

Revered Master, I cherish Dafa the most. I will bear the Fa in my heart and cultivate myself diligently and assist Master to save more sentient beings.

Master, please rest assured.

The class was set up just before the coming of Master's birthday. Young practitioners were very happy when they heard that they will send greetings to Master on his birthday, and they studied the Fa and did the exercises more seriously. They also want to wish Master happy birthday on behalf of those young practitioners from Hsinchu who could not come.

On this special day, young practitioners decorated the birthday cards with elegant paper lotus flowers, which they made by themselves. On the card, they drew pictures and wrote the words: "Happy Birthday, Master", "Falun Dafa is good", "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good", "I will cultivate well and reach consummation", which really touched the teachers.

Young practitioners took the elaborate cards home, and said they will read the words on the cards every day to encourage themselves to cultivate well. Their parents smiled and said: "This is the best birthday gift to Master."

(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners in Changchun City recall the days when Teacher spread Dafa in his hometown. They remember the fourteenth anniversary of Teacher spreading Falun Dafa with the deepest feelings in their hearts.

Teacher used to live on the northwest corner of the intersection of Jianshe Street and Jiefang Avenue. It was an old building, and Teacher lived in an apartment facing south on the 4th floor (Picture 1). The apartment has two rooms and was less than 300 square feet. The inside room held a bed and closet, while the outside room held a desk, sofa, and bookcase. On the bookcase was an incense burner, half filled with incense ash. Teacher wrote his first books in this tiny apartment -- Falun Gong, Falun Gong (Revised Edition), Zhuan Falun, Zhuan Falun (Volume II), and Explaining the Content of Falun Dafa. Also in this tiny apartment, Teacher sat in meditation and dealt with demons that interfered with the Fa-rectification for over ten days at any one time. He did not even have time to shave.

Once, Teacher sat for seven days and seven nights without eating or sleeping. His daughter reminded him to eat, worrying about him. Teacher sighed and told his daughter that about a dozen years had passed by in another dimension, while she was uttering the words. After that, his daughter never interfered with her father. Veteran practitioners understood what Teacher was doing. Just as Teacher said,

"I have to take care of a lot of things this time while I'm back in town. The students all know this, so they do their best not to disturb me. One ring of the phone might really disrupt what I'm doing, and so a lot of students don't even call me--I know that." (Explaining the Content of Falun Dafa)

In the outside room, several pictures, drawn by Teacher were on the wall: two female Buddha images, one image of Buddha Amitabha, one image of a Tao, and one image of Sun Wukong (the Monkey King). Teacher made the images with crayons -- the images are extremely exquisite and vivid. The image of Buddha Amitabha, Tao, and one female Buddha are included in Hong Yin. (Picture 2)

When Teacher participated in the Oriental Health Expo in Beijing, the building in which Teacher resided was on fire. When someone told Teacher about it, Teacher put his right hand behind his head, made a beautiful gesture and said, "Let the fire be." After the firefighters extinguished the fire, they found Teacher's apartment was the only one the fire did not touch. People said that because the family cultivates Buddha and have Buddha images, their home was protected. Looking back at the incident, practitioners realized that it was the interference from the old forces. Like Teacher said,

"I am a person who dislikes fighting with others, and neither was it worth a fight with him. Whenever he brought some bad things upon me, I would just clear them up. Afterwards, I would resume my lecturing." (Zhuan Falun)

Changchun City Culture Square is in the east and not far away from Teacher's apartment. The square is the biggest place for rallies in the city. Before Teacher spread Falun Dafa, he used to do exercises there. (Picture 3) It is said that when the square was rebuilt, the original plan was to remove everything and build from scratch. The plan was later modified, leaving the trees in the southeast and southwest corners intact -- that was the place where Teacher used to practice. Before July 20, 1999, over 10,000 practitioners practiced here as a group in the mornings. The grand scene, solemn atmosphere, and peaceful and compassionate energy field, displayed by the goodness of Falun Dafa, attracted many people with predestined relationships, who also began practice Dafa. North of the Culture Square is the No. 5 High School. The first and second lecture series of Teacher spreading Dafa were held in a classroom there. The first lecture series was held on May 15, 1992, with about 180 students in attendance. Since then, Falun Dafa spread throughout China in a short seven years. By 1999, over 100 million people practiced Falun Gong in China. Within 14 years, Falun Dafa spread to about 80 countries, and almost everyone in the world had heard about Falun Gong.

When Teacher began to impart Falun Dafa, he used the form of "qigong." He opened acupuncture points and third eyes for practitioners, and cleaned up their bodies himself. Once a girl of about 16 years cried out loud continuously, as she was under spirit possession. Several other qigong masters patted her head and tried to stop her from crying, but they couldn't. Teacher stepped down from the lecture platform and patted her on her head three times, after which she stopped crying immediately. Everyone in the room was shocked. Before realizing what had occurred they applauded in admiration. Teacher also put energy mechanisms at the four corners of the classroom, which radiated red light in another dimension. The whole room was filled with peaceful energy.

After the second lecture series, Teacher toured the entire city on his old bike, cleaning up the field for Changchun City. He told practitioners to practice well and not to worry about anything.

Triumph Park is another place where Teacher practiced. In the extremely cold wintertime in Northeast China, he practiced without his coat and gloves for hours at a time. During one summer, it began to rain hard during practice. Everyone except for Teacher stopped and went to covered areas. Passersby all said, "Now that's a true cultivator!" Another time, a practitioner saw Teacher holding the wheel in the evening. When the practitioner returned the next morning, Teacher was still there practicing. Teacher was practicing throughout the entire night.

When Teacher first began to teach Falun Gong exercises in Triumph Park, he used the form of qigong to teach Dafa. He healed people's illnesses, freed people of spirit possession and straightened hunchbacks with one touch of his hand. Later on, two practice sites were established - one near the front and the other at the back gate of the park. The back gate was mentioned in Zhuan Falun:

"One morning when I was passing the rear entrance of Triumph Park in Changchun, three people came out of the rear entrance, shouting loudly. One of them said: "What sort of qigong is it that's practiced in which one can't even eat meat? I'd rather give up ten years of my life to eat meat!" What a strong desire that is!"

When some veteran practitioners read this section, they can almost see Teacher's image of those early years.

To the northeast of Triumph Park is the city's Grain and Oil Supply Company, where Teacher used to work. Every former colleague knows that Teacher was a kind, simple and sincere person. He was quiet and smiled all the time, and everyone liked him. When they asked Teacher to treat their illness, Teacher always helped them become better. On holidays, Teacher asked his former colleagues from the army to perform music and art shows for the employees in the Grain and Oil Supply Company. Teacher played the trumpet. In his work and life, Teacher showed us how to cultivate among people in a way that conforms to today's society and people as much as possible. Teacher mentioned about his cultivation while working there:

"When I used to go to work, the cafeteria in the workplace always lost money and was later shut down. After it closed down, everyone brought lunch to work. It was troublesome and a lot of hustle to make meals in the morning. Sometimes, I would buy two steamed buns and a piece of tofu in soy sauce. In theory, that should be quite a light meal, but eating that all the time was still not good, as the attachment had to be removed. As soon as I saw tofu again, it would make me feel sick. I could not eat it when I tried it again, lest I develop the attachment." (Zhuan Falun)

Many people in Changchun City used to be Teacher's colleagues, classmates, neighbors and relatives or friends. These are all predestined relationships Teacher had arranged, so they would be saved. We hope they could all realize the goodness of Falun Dafa and do not let Teacher's efforts come to naught. In "Dafa Disciple's Righteous Thoughts Are Powerful," Teacher said, "Dafa is spreading widely, saving all sentient beings." Teacher has given every sentient being many opportunities to be saved and it is up to every one to choose their future.

West of Triumph Park is a club of the Air Force, where Teacher held his third lecture series. At the time, a patient who was paralyzed after being hit by a bag of rice attended the lectures. She was given many treatments, and none was successful. Her family members brought her in on a stretcher. Several other patients from that hospital came also to the lecture. Before the lecture began, Teacher cleaned her body himself. He patted her body in the front and back before asking her to sit up, and she then sat up. Teacher then asked her to stand up, and she did. Teacher then asked her to walk around the lecture platform, and she indeed walked around! Her family members and other patients were all filled with gratitude. All of her family members began to practice Falun Gong after that.

On the first day of the lecture, Teacher arrived on his old bike with his daughter. When he saw a row of bikes had fallen down, he pulled all of them back up. There was a light rain while he did this. He was a role model for practitioners, even in small things. "He is full of great aspirations while minding minor details." ("Sage," Essentials for Further Advancement) At the time, a practitioner was waiting for Teacher at the door, planning to ask him to treat her family members' diseases. After seeing this, the practitioner was moved, inspired, and regretful: Teacher is thinking of others, how could I occupy his time by asking him to treat my family members' illnesses. She quietly returned to the auditorium and waited for the lecture to begin. Teacher's pure compassion resolved everything unrighteous and changed people's hearts.

The Provincial Committee Auditorium is across the street from Triumph Park. Teacher held his fourth and fifth lecture series there. During the fourth lecture series, Teacher asked several practitioners to stand on the podium. One of them had a big tumor in her belly. When Teacher cleaned up her body, blood and pus run down her pants -- the tumor was destroyed and the bulge on her belly disappeared. So many practitioners have witnessed the miracles.

After the fifth lecture series, Teacher stopped treating practitioners' illnesses individually. Instead, he holistically adjusted practitioners' bodies. By the end of the fifth lecture series, Teacher gave Falun Gong banners to practitioners at five practice sites: Triumph Park, Jilin University, Children's Park, Zoo and Botanical Park, and Chaoyang Park. Teacher had selected the sites, cleaned up the fields, and placed shields around each of the practice sites. At the Zoo and Botanical Park, Teacher specified a large area. At the time, there were only a few practitioners there. Teacher told them not to worry, as soon the large area would see a lot of new practitioners. Indeed, after the sixth and seventh lecture series, more practitioners came to the site. After 1995, the site became so crowded that more practice sites had to be established in other areas of the park.

The next two lecture series were held in an auditorium (Mingfanggong) at Jilin University. It has been fourteen years since then, and many of the older buildings in the university have been torn down and rebuilt, yet the old Japanese-styled auditorium is still there as the witness and record keeper of history. This is telling us, "When the entire cosmos is coming to its end, our great Teacher came to spread Falun Dafa and save sentient beings." Inside the auditorium, Teacher's loud and clear voice is still reverberating. Numerous pictures of Teacher and practitioners were taken at the front entrance. So many have witnessed the miracles of Dafa.

Some practitioners saw huge golden circles of light around Teacher in another dimension. Eight deities with armor and weapons guarded Teacher, with four of them on each side. This scene was solemn and sacred.

An old man who had suffered a stroke wanted to take a picture with Teacher while sitting on a chair and holding his walking stick. Teacher told him to discard the walking stick and the chair. He slowly stood up and threw away the walking stick, put his left foot forward, then the right foot, and finally walked around the square outside the front entrance. Everyone there was filled with awe and said, "Miraculous!" Later on, the old man's wife wrote Teacher a letter, indicating that she will practice Falun Gong diligently to repay Teacher's great help.

At the end of 1996, my brother went to a Falun Gong experience sharing conference hosted by the Singapore Buddhist Association and brought back the book, Zhuan Falun in simplified Chinese characters. He asked me if I wanted to read it. First of all, I love to read, second I have always been looking for the purpose of life and why are we here. So I agreed to read the book. To my surprise, once I picked up the book, it went straight to my heart. Now I find it is very important to read Zhuan Falun after work each day, sometimes until midnight. At the beginning, since I rarely had the opportunity to read books in simplified Chinese characters and I was not familiar with those characters, it took me a whole week to finish the book.

My brother had asked me before if I wanted to learn the Falun Gong exercises. I was a Christian and was baptized as a baby. I went to church to listen to sermons and to sing hymns. I was not interested in exercises, and worship in Buddhist temples seemed so distant from me. After I finished reading Zhuan Falun, I felt that this was a special book, a great book. Even though the book is written with such easily understood words and colloquial language, its inner meanings are boundless. It answered so many questions I had. I went to my brother this time and asked him, " Would you teach me the exercises? I want to learn!"

When I went to church, each time, I still felt empty; I did not find the things that I was looking for. I lingered between bookstores, looking for books on philosophy, books that explore human life and the soul, trying to find the pillar of life. Some of those books are well written but I never read them over and over. Zhuan Falun is different, and I want to read it over and over again. I have been reading this book for the last nine years and I still want to read it.

When I first obtained Dafa, the pastor and my fellow Christians were worried about me. They prayed for me. I asked them some questions, which even the pastor could not answer, and they stopped trying to get me to come back. Gradually, my fellow Christians stopped looking for me, since our paths in life became so different. Now I have more fellow Dafa practitioners, who diligently study together, assimilate to "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" together, and improve our environment together. Life is so commendable and gratifying.

I feel so happy to have been able to obtain such a remarkable Dafa. I went to China twice to exchange experiences with fellow practitioners in Beijing and Changchun, and also went to Fa conferences in Germany, New York and the Western United States. Before the persecution started in 1999, I was focused on individual cultivation, making more efforts in improving my xinxing. Besides doing the exercises every morning, I attended group Fa study once or twice a week, and life was quite simple.

Even after practicing Dafa for one year, I still could not double cross my legs for an hour. The longest time was 55 minutes, and I could not extend the time any further. One particular week was very testy; my boss was very disagreeable with me. No matter what I did, he was upset with me. He constantly addressed me with the wrong name. Usually, he always addressed me as Ms. Hong, but that week he addressed me as Ms. Guo, or Ms. Liu. I did not know what was wrong with him and why he was so extremely upset.

I knew I did not pass one test very well. My boss likes to criticize people. For example, when we were returning from somewhere in a taxi together, he began criticize the taxi driver, complaining all the way to his office. I became impatient and said, "Why do you keep complaining about the taxi driver? He can't hear you, and it is I who has to put up with your complaining." Wow! My boss was very upset. He thought that I was not considerate of him, and after that, he constantly addressed me with the wrong name.

One day, my boss asked me to change his health card. I thought he had been constantly picking on me, so I paid extra attention when I was filling out his form. I handed him the form after I was done. He became furious and cursed me out loud. I did not know what he wanted, but he thoroughly cursed me out. I was not moved at all that day. Even though he stood near me, I felt as if he were far away. It was as if I were watching a boiling pot; I did not feel anything. After he finished ranting, I replied, " I am very sorry Mr. Cai." His face turned red and he must have felt embarrassed by his irrational behavior and he went back to his office.

I went to do the exercises the next day and to my surprise I was able to sit in meditation for over one hour. When I went back to work, my boss no longer acted like he disliked me, as if nothing had happened. He has addressed me with the right name ever since.

Also during that week, when I was faxing documents, my boss came over to criticize me. I answered him back, because things were not as he stated and I felt wronged. He became angrier and shouted even more after I answered him back. I thought, I am a practitioner, why can't I maintain my xinxing? I was learning Zhuan Falun by heart at the time, and was on Lecture Four, "Upgrading Xinxing". I was reminded,

"Because many people could not maintain good xinxing in the past, many problems occurred. After their practice reached a certain level, they could not make further progress." (Lecture Four, Zhuan Falun)

In April 1999, the news of over ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners going to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong broke out and shocked the international media. The TV stations in Taiwan were broadcasting live scenes repeatedly. We saw Falun Gong practitioners standing quietly, reading Zhuan Falun. The "April 25" event made Falun Gong known to all in Taiwan. Before the event, when I was chatting with taxi drivers, nine out of ten drivers did not know what Falun Gong was. Now, Falun Gong was known to every family overnight. From April 25, 1999 to the same date in 2000, the number of people who practiced Falun Gong in Taiwan expanded quickly from 200,000 to 300,000.

Because TV stations, magazines and newspapers were competing with each other in reporting on Falun Gong, some newspapers had their entire front page covering Falun Gong's principles, "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." Our Falun Gong nine-day lecture classes filled up quickly. Students sat very close to each other, filling the house. When it was time to learn the exercises, we had to move to outside to have more room. There were countless phone calls from people and the media, asking, what is Falun Gong? When is the next nine-day lecture class? Many organizations and government institutions invited Dafa practitioners to their facilities to teach the exercises. Zhuan Falun was sold out everywhere; you had to order it two weeks ahead of time to receive the book.

On July 20^th 1999, after Jiang's regime and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong, my thoughts fluctuated at times. We were able to receive CCTV (the CCP media mouthpiece), and they were broadcasting the "April 25" events. It looked as if it were a drama played out according to a script. I felt terrible throughout the whole night.

When I was walking on the street the next morning, suddenly there was a thought: "What if all this were false, what should I do?" I was terrified. If Falun Gong is false, have I wasted all my effort? I began recall quietly. I realized that since the beginning of my practice, I did not lose anything but benefited enormously. Master did not ask us for a penny, did not ask us to donate money, only asked us to be a good person. If I did not obtain Dafa, I could not open my wisdom, I wouldn't have understood the true purpose of why we come to the world. If this universal Dafa is false, teaching people to be good, upgrading xinxing and improving morality are all false, then people coming to this world will be pointless. After I thought it through, I became even firmer. I was so relieved and very happy. I still remembered the moment that I understood even more clearly about Falun Gong, about the Fa.

There are processes when people pursue the truth. With regard to the path we walked through, whether it was blindly searching or searching with a clear intent, we can quietly think it through. After I thought it through, I felt even more substantial; I never had the doubt again.

The persecution not only affected practitioners in Mainland China but also changed the life of practitioners abroad. I remembered before, when I went abroad to a Fa conference, we would go sightseeing after the meetings, feeling lighthearted and carefree. Now it is different. So many Dafa practitioners in Mainland China are suffering persecution, have lost their jobs, lost close relatives, lost their homes, became disabled or even lost their lives. We cannot sit around and do nothing. Practitioners in Mainland China are clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings under such tremendous pressure. We will publicly express our support. Every time we hold activities against the persecution, I have a deep feeling of grief as the death toll in China rises from 200, 300, 1,000 to over 2,000 practitioners.

If there were no persecution, there would be more people able to obtain Dafa. If people were not poisoned by the CCPS deceit and lies, there wouldn't be so many misunderstandings of Dafa.

I remembered clearly those times between 1999 to 2000. I went to New York to attend a Fa conference, and I was distributing fliers on the streets, to tell people the wonders of Falun Dafa and to expose the truth of the persecution. One westerner came up and asked: "How much money do you make this way? How much money does the American government give you [to do this]?" I told him: "Everything is at our own expense, whether it's the plane ticket, hotel, food - it all comes from our own money; nobody gives us financial assistance. Why do we do it? Because I benefited enormously from Dafa, Falun Dafa upgraded my moral character, improved my health, and let me know the purpose of life. I want to come here; I want to tell more people how wonderful Falun Dafa is. It is the CCP's lie that we are paid to do what we do. They want to cover up their persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. They are afraid of the good people who practice Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance."

I cannot image where I would be if I had not obtained Falun Gong. Before the upcoming seventh annual "World Falun Dafa Day," I sincerely hope that more people can understand the truth of Falun Gong and return to the bright path home.

Falun Dafa has been publicly taught for 14 years, and the light of "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance" has shone upon nearly 80 countries and regions. A hundred million people from different nationalities have practiced Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance. They follow Master's compassionate teaching,

"Validate the Fa with rationality, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and save people with mercy..." ("Rationality," Essentials for Further Advancement II).

One after another truth clarifying flyer, one after another sincere petition sheet, and one after another kind heart of support are paving the way for sentient beings to walk toward the future. This is the mercy of enlightened beings and also Falun Dafa disciples' mission in the human world.

For the sake of saving sentient beings, our Master is still waiting with compassion, even though he has endured countless hardships, borne the karma of all sentient beings, and been cursed with vile words. His benevolent calls over the past 14 years and patient waiting have been in hopes that more lives will awaken and walk into the new era.

May 13 is a joyful celebration day for lives in the whole cosmos. It's a day when all beings are at a loss for words to express our gratitude for Master's infinite grace of salvation. It's a day on which layers upon layers of the cosmos are praising Master and Falun Dafa. It's a day that Falun Dafa disciples thank Master for giving us a cultivation opportunity and the glory of following Master to do Fa-rectification. It's an eternal holiday for all sentient beings in the cosmos.

(Clearwisdom.net) May is a time full of vigor and life. A thunderstorm last night washed away the dirt in the air. Today the air is very clear, the sunshine is very bright, and the flowers and grass smell very fresh. Sitting in front of my computer, I feel peaceful and pleasant.

I remember reading one poem when I was in college about the dandelion. The meaning goes something like this: where does the dandelion come from? From where it comes from. Where does the dandelion go? Where is it supposed to go?

After reading this poem, I was completely lost since the poem did not make it really clear where the dandelion comes from and goes.

Many people sigh at the ups and downs and the uncertainty in life. We've all had such doubts since we were little: where do we come from and where do we go? For thousands of years, it has been an eternal topic for humans to explore the meaning of life, the origin and destination of man.

Like many people who aspire to seek the truth and meaning of life, I once devoted myself to scientific research. I was only met with more questions and doubts, and I realized how shallow science is in terms of exploring life itself. Then I turned to philosophy and religion, but still couldn't find what I wanted.

One day I came across Falun Dafa. Zhuan Falun answered all my doubts, and enabled me to truly understand the meaning of life and see the principles of the universe. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance began to purge my mind and body, remove the anxiety I felt, fulfill my life and make me feel reassured that I was finally on my way home. What Falun Gong has given me is too much to describe in words.

Now, many people admire Falun Gong. Seeing Falun Gong still strong and spreading widely after such a long period of persecution, people are wondering about the underlying reason.

When Falun Gong practitioners realized the true meaning of life and understood the principles of the universe, there was no way that the lies and torture by the Chinese Communist Party could shake practitioners' belief and will.

Some people may feel that Falun Gong is good but is too remote for them. They have to take care of family and work. So they think it's impossible for them to calm down and find time to practice Falun Gong amidst their busy schedule. Actually, when I was searching for the truth, I was looking for something that could help me improve and also accommodate my everyday life. Falun Gong is exactly such a cultivation practice. It can guide people to higher levels, but at the same time, practitioners can still lead a normal life.

In such an era when human morality is on the decline and people are going after fame and self-interest, I hope more people can realize the preciousness of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and choose not to be a dandelion that floats away in the wind.

The celebration started at 10 a.m. at the Union Square of Manhattan, which was decorated with several banners lifted by balloons. The banners read "May 13 - World Falun Dafa Day", "Falun Dafa is Good", and "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" respectively. The square is one of the busiest areas in Manhattan.

Practitioners dressed up to celebrate the 14^th anniversary of Falun Dafa's public introduction and the seventh World Falun Dafa Day with colorful programs. Many New Yorkers and tourists joined the practitioners' celebration with great interest.

At the beginning of the celebration, practitioners Yun and Levi gave an opening remark in Chinese and English respectively. The speech reviewed the spread of Falun Dafa since Master Li introduced the practice to the public in 1992: Today, Falun Gong is practiced in more than 80 countries and regions and teachings of Falun Dafa have been translated into more than 30 languages.

At the end of the speech, on behalf of practitioners from the greater New York area, Yun and Levi wished Master Li Happy Birthday and a happy "World Falun Dafa Day". They expressed thanks for Master's boundless compassion and arduous saving.

Falun Dafa transcends race, nationality, language and culture differences, and is being practiced in more than 80 countries and regions in 4 continents. Practitioners in succession went onstage to introduce Falun Dafa to the audience with their own native languages including Chinese, English, Russian, French, Spanish, Arabic and Hindi.

The practitioners then demonstrated the exercises. The graceful movements and the host's introduction attracted wide attention from passers-by.

Dafa practitioners celebrated this great day with music, song and dance. The Divine Land Marching Band started the celebration with "Falun Dafa is Good" and "Drumming of the Fa Shakes the Ten Directional Cosmos." Sopranos Min and Judy then sang "Assisting Master in Fa Rectification", "Awakening", "Be Saved" and "Compassionate Call" to express the practitioners' boundless appreciation to revered Mater's arduous saving and call on everyday people to cherish this precious Fa. Western practitioner Ben and Courtney sang several English songs to glorify Dafa's beauty and call on the public to stop the persecution in China.. Courtney composed a song to expose the CCP's atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, which touched many peoples' hearts.

As described by the hosts, Falun Gong is deeply rooted in the Chinese culture of 5,000 years. Through performances such as the Fairy Flute and Fan Dance, practitioners presented the audience with the true Chinese folk culture and peoples' pursuit in searching for wisdom and enlightenment. The waist drum and traditional dragon and lion dances were also well received.

New York State representative Benjamin and his wife also joined the celebration. They were very happy to celebrate the holiday with practitioners and other New Yorkers. Knowing that Falun Gong is a very peaceful practice, Benjamin condemned the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and supported the practitioners' freedom of belief and speech.

People came from all directions to look at the practitioners' photo display, learn the exercises, chat with practitioners, acquire materials and sign a petition calling for an end of the persecution. One after another the locals came to watch the practitioners' performance and listen to the hosts' introduction of Falun Gong and the persecution. It was a touching scene.

Towards the end of the day, the hosts once again introduced Falun Gong and the persecution to the audience and thanked everyone for their participation in the celebration.

In the end, the practitioners posed in front of the camera and said in harmony: "Master, Happy Birthday!"

At 9 o'clock in the morning, Falun Gong practitioners gathered on Paseo De Los Heroes Square, which is at the center of the city, and did the exercises. Practitioners in yellow t-shirts performing the graceful movements became the focus of attention immediately. Drivers and pedestrians alike slowed down and took in the scene of practitioners doing the exercises. After forming words and doing the exercises, the parade started.

Practitioners held banners, which read "Falun Dafa," "Falun Dafa is good," "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance", "Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong" and "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice," and slowly walked towards Chinatown. The most impressive part of the procession was the waist drum team, which consisted of four practitioners. People were amazed that the sound of the drums was so beautiful. In Chinatown, the Chinese people were also amazed that the waist drums, which are from China, were played by Peruvian Falun Gong practitioners. People from Mainland China were very surprised when practitioners were demonstrating the exercises. They asked, "Is this Falun Gong?" They eagerly asked for materials about Falun Gong. The drumbeats and the voice of "Falun Dafa is good" echoed in Chinatown. At 1:30 p.m., the parade ended on Italy Square in the Chinese community.

Candlelight vigil in honor of practitioners persecuted in China

On the day that all of Heaven and Earth celebrate together, practitioners from Peru missed the practitioners who are being persecuted in Mainland China. At 7 p.m., practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy mourning the practitioners who had been persecuted to death by the CCP in China, and they called for the end of the persecution. Songs composed by practitioners were sung during the event. Policemen around the Chinese Embassy also paid attention to the practitioners' activity and asked for handouts.

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 20 and April 21, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners gathered in the cities of Ostrava and Frydek-Mistek in the Czech Republic and protested the CCP's atrocities in removing living Falun Gong practitioners' organs in concentration camps. When the two cities' citizens knew the facts of the CCP's continuous cruel persecution against Falun Gong, many of them signed the petition to urge the Czech Republic President to ask the CCP immediately to release all Falun Gong practitioners who are imprisoned in the secret concentration camps.

The main goal of this activity was to raise awareness of the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. The Falun Gong practitioners' organs were forcibly taken out while they're still alive and sold for huge profits. Since the CCP started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, the number of organ transplants in China has increased rapidly. The fliers distributed to the public included the testimony pointing to 36 concentration camps set up by the CCP and interviews with witnesses.

People expressed their deep sympathy to the practitioners, who suffered such brutal persecution in China just because they believe in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. More than 200 people signed our petition in Frydek-Mistek, and almost 300 people signed it in Ostrava.

An older man asked for some flyers and posters to help people who live in his house know about this persecution. Another young man asked for some handouts to bring to a teahouse to raise further awareness.

(Clearwisdom.net) From April 14 to 16, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from the Ukraine held an art exhibition entitled, "The Path of Compassion and Benevolence" in Chernigiv, a beautiful and old city in the north of the country. The exhibition included photographs introducing Falun Gong's spread around the world along with sculptures and paintings by Falun Gong practitioners.

The exhibition attracted the presence of people from all walks of life in Chernigiv. Among them were actors, students, lawyers, government representatives and journalists. The art exhibition became a good opportunity for practitioners to tell people the facts of Falun Gong.

During the art exhibition, Falun Gong practitioners not only demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, but also warmly explained the meaning behind every painting in detail, which aroused people's attention and interest. One after another, people signed their names and shared their impression of the exhibition in the visitors' book.

A student from abroad said: "Through these pictures, I have not only experienced serenity and harmony in the bottom of my heart, but also understood ancient Chinese culture brought forth by the paintings and the meaning of their beauty. It is more important that I have felt that these pictures radiate the power of compassion, which makes me most pleased."

Another student told practitioners: "These are the most stirring art pieces I have ever seen. It is as if I was enveloped in joy all over and I can't help feeling humble and showing reverence for them."

After seeing the exhibition, a lawyer and his child started chatting with practitioners and then bought the main book of Falun Dafa practice, Zhuan Falun, and said he would read it at home.

In the meantime, practitioners from Ukraine were interviewed by a TV Station and a local radio reporter from Chernigiv. The organizer of the exhibition said: "Through the art exhibition, we hope that more people will understand the beauty of Falun Gong and the truth of the persecution happening in China. We call on people to help us stop the Chinese Communist Party from cruelly killing Falun Gong practitioners."

Another practitioner said: "I hope that these paintings will not only bring everybody an appreciation of art and a good feeling, but also understanding, support and help for us."

Tonight I draw honourable members' attention to the shocking human rights abuses that are occurring in China while the world stands by and does nothing to condemn the Chinese Government, and countries such as Australia fall over themselves to trade with this oppressive regime. This speech is timely as Australia is currently hosting a visit by the Chinese Premier, Wen Jiabao. It has been documented for a number of years that the Chinese Government has been persecuting practitioners of Falun Gong. I have been provided with information by the Falun Dafa Information Centre detailing horrifying accounts of death camps in China.

On 8 March the Falun Dafa Information Centre received detailed information from a Chinese Communist regime insider documenting a concentration camp that has been set up in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province for practitioners of Falun Gong. The camp is said to hold more than 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners, and apparently nobody has yet come out alive. According to the internal source, the camp's practices involve killing prisoners and harvesting their organs. Organ sales are said to be a profitable business in China. The source also said that the camp contains a crematorium and employs a large number of doctors. The camp, which has been dubbed the Sujiatun Concentration Camp, is allegedly surrounded by walls three metres high that are topped with electrified barbed wire. It is heavily fortified and the locals know very little about it. It is said that those inside are Falun Gong adherents from other provinces in China, some of whom have been transferred from various labour camps. It is said that while the camp has held up to 6,000 people only 2,000 are left. The remainder have had their hearts, kidneys, retinas and skin harvested and the rest of their bodies disposed of.

The persecution of Falun Gong members has been stepped up in the lead-up to the 2008 Olympics. It is alleged that in June last year Chinese authorities held a meeting in which China's Deputy Minister of Public Security, Liu Jing, was assigned the job of stamping out Falun Gong before the Olympic Games in 2008, according to Paris-based Intelligence Online. These allegations do not come from a single source. Various human rights agencies have been reporting that concentration camps exist in China. In October 2000 a report by Agence France-Presse told of two concentration camps having been built specifically for Falun Gong detainees, each with the capacity to hold 50,000 people. The United States of America Department of State 2005 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices reported continued systematic abuse of the Falun Gong in China. Justice Michael Kirby's speech on Sunday night is timely, with the message that it is crucial not to forget the haunting memories of the Holocaust so that history does not repeat itself. Justice Kirby said:

If it could happen in one of the most civilised countries on Earth, it could happen anywhere. Even in Australia. We have been warned. We must heed the warning.

Bystanders of the Holocaust have been judged by history. Will the world now stand by and allow persecution and death camps in China? With China as a major emerging economic power, it seems that governments, including Australia, are hesitant to raise human rights issues with the Chinese Government. It is absolutely appalling that trade interests are viewed as more important than abhorrent human rights abuses. While our politicians discuss potential uranium exports, people are dying in concentration camps for the crime of practising a spiritual discipline that the Chinese Government disapproves of.

I will conclude with a quote from Reverend Martin Niemoller, a German Protestant pastor, who spent seven years in a concentration camp. He said:

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out because I was not a communist. Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the labour leaders, and I did not speak out because I was not a labor leader. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Among others, Ellen Anderson, Minnesota state senator, R.T. Rybak, Mayor of Minneapolis, and Senator Mark Dayton wrote to congratulate Minnesota practitioners on World Falun Dafa Day. (Clearwisdom.net) On May 12, Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported that former Canadian MP and a renowned human rights lawyer will conduct a joint investigation on claims of the CCP's atrocities of organ harvesting form living Falun Gong practitioners. They will submit the findings to the Canadian government.

Former MP David Kilgour and renowned human rights lawyer David Matas recently announced: The two will jointly investigate claims charging the Chinese Communist regime for harvesting organs from detained Falun Gong practitioners. The announcement was made several days after the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs publicly denied the charges.

The RFA report said, Kilgour acknowledged at the press conference that they may not be able to investigate the claims in China due to the Chinese Communist regime's objection. However, he believed that oversea investigation could still collect valuable findings.

Kilgour said: I served as prosecutor and lawyer for ten years and I have rich experience in this aspect. I hope that we can obtain positive results. Attorney Matas and I have already obtained large volumes of related materials.

Matas said that there are three possible conclusions based on regular rule of thumb: 1) the claims were true with concrete evidence; 2) the claims were fabricated; 3) the claims were partially true. He was confident that the investigation will discover something new.

Matas stressed that the investigation was still limited to personal efforts from Kilgour and himself without official sponsorship. He said: We haven't requested anything from the government. We will submit our reports to Canadian government. He said that the Canadian government shall take proper action against the Chinese communist regime if their investigation confirmed the claims.

Matas said that they will request the Canadian government to look into this issue seriously after they finish the investigation. He also added that official denial from the Chinese Communist regime didn't mean that the issues didn't exist. At the same time, he also acknowledged that there was no independent media confirmation except Falun Gong's claims.

(Clearwisdom.net) The Colorado Highlands Ranch Herald published an article written by Robyn Lydick on April 27, 2006. It said that during the CCP leader Hu Jintao's visit at the White House, Ms. Sun from Colorado Highlands Ranch protested the persecution of Falun Gong happening in China. In other areas, people can freely do the exercises.

She and several hundred Falun Gong practitioners hope that the practitioners in China may no longer be detained, tortured and even tortured to death for practicing Falun Gong.

The article said that Ms. Sun was deeply concerned about freedom of belief in China. Despite the fact that she, her husband and son live in Highlands Ranch, Sun, a practitioner of Falun Gong, is active in applying pressure to her former country so that other Falun Gong practitioners can do so without the fear of arrest, torture or death.

During a visit with a friend in China 1999, Ms. Sun were arrested from her friend's home by Chinese Communist Party officials.

"They follow every (practitioner) around. We were arrested at midnight in a private apartment. I showed the police my U.S. passport and they finally deported me."

Sun lost her friend's information. She learned in April 2001 that the friend had been tortured to death in a camp in rural China, kept in an underground cell filled with dirty water.

Sun said, "All the officials wanted her to do was sign a form saying truth and compassion was evil, she wouldn't."

So Sun spent last week in passive protest while Hu Jintao, the head of the CCP, was visiting the White House. She sat meditating in the park facing the White House with hundreds of other practitioners from across the country.

"I was holding a sign with a Western woman meditating on one side and a photograph of a Chinese woman after torture" Sun said. "She had her face burned off. The sign also had the day and time she was tortured to death."

Another Falun Gong protester, Dr. Wenyi Wang of New York who arranged for press credentials, was arrested for shouting at Hu during the welcoming ceremony at the White House.

Since 1999, the CCP regime in China has cracked down on "unofficial" religious movements, from Christian churches to Falun Gong, an outgrowth of qigong and Confucian and Buddhist thought.

Practitioners in the United States allege concentration camps where the inmates are used for organ transplantation.

Sun has called herself to inquire about organs for transplant.

"They told me they would match me to a live donor, but they said that after May they would be short of supplies," Sun said. "They match people then kill them. They take the kidneys for one, the eyes for another."

According to human rights organization Amnesty International, tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been arbitrarily detained in China since the spiritual movement was banned as a "threat to social and political stability" in July 1999. Some have been charged with crimes and sentenced after unfair trials, while others have been sent to labor camps without trial. Many of them are reported to have been tortured or ill-treated in detention and more than 350 Falun Gong practitioners reportedly died in custody between 1999 and 2002.

World of followers

In America, Falun Gong is a multi-ethnic movement. Julia Bani, a German national, began studying the system in Germany, before she moved to Highlands Ranch two years ago.

Always a spiritual searcher into yoga and Eastern philosophies, Bani had a high school classmate who was a Falun Gong practitioner. That young woman introduced Bani to the system.

"My family had a lot of stress. My father was ill, and we had a hard time with it." Bani said.

She began the meditation and exercises immediately and read the founder Li Hongzhi's books, Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong.

Bani said she started seeing physical benefits immediately. "I felt changed." She said. "I had backaches, headaches, I was pale and tired, I'd fall asleep in school all the time. When I started to do these exercises the pain was gone all of a sudden."

Her family conflict lessened as her mother and siblings began to meditate with her. Only her father stayed away.

"I could do much better dealing with my moods," Bani said. "As a family we could not look back and start over again putting those problems behind us. One year of practice goes so fast, so many changes. I learned how important truth, compassion and forbearance are. I'm less angry than before."

Also practicing the movements on a Monday evening at Northridge Recreation Center were a woman from Wales and a Parker woman who was born in Korea.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Xiadong was carrying water for his mother on the morning of March 11, 2006, when agents from the Huadian City National Security Division, in conjunction with three other policemen, arrested him. The persecutors arrived in a white car. They beat Wang Xiadong, and then pulled him into the vehicle and took him away.

Mr. Wang was detained first in a closed metal room at Huadian City Police Department's National Security Division (since 2001, this metal room has been used especially for persecuting Dafa practitioners). Almost all Dafa practitioners previously arrested in Huadian had suffered there.

The police also went to Wang Xiaodong's home and ransacked it. They threw Wang Xiaodong's things everywhere and asked Wang Xiaodong's mother, "Where did you hide the stuff?" Wang Xiaodong's mother replied, "What are you talking about?" The police found nothing, so they took her with them. The police asked Wang Xiaodong's neighbor to sign a witness paper.

Though they took Wang Xiaodong's mother, she did not provide them with any useful information, so they had to release her.

The next day, four policemen went to Wang Xiaodong's home once again. Because his mother was not at home, they kicked in a window and broke into the house. Again, they found nothing. Muddy footprints were left on the bed and in the room.

Later that evening, the police once again knocked on the door of Wang Xiaodong's home. After they got in, they shouted at his mother, "Where is that old tape recorder?" The mother questioned them, "Every family has old tape recorders. Do you want to use it to harm my son?" The wicked police threatened, "In spite of you being in your 60s, we can still make you disappear!"

While all of this was happening to his mother at home, back at the police station the persecutors were torturing Wang Xiaodong in hopes of extracting a confession.

The police tied up Wang Xiaodong upside down onto a metal chair for 24 hours. His arms were handcuffed behind his back. He was forced to wear a rubber-lined metal helmet that was buckled onto his head. The helmet was a torture device. The torturers hit the helmet with a stick. According to the police, "This kind of excruciating treatment can shake the eyeballs out." Wang Xiaodong, in spite of this excruciating pain, asked the police officer, "Who are you?" The police officer surnamed Guan answered, "I am a hatchet man." Wang Xiaodong remained unmoved and kept on telling them the facts about Falun Gong. Seeing that they could not achieve their goal, the torturers forced some oil down his throat and hung him up. To avoid leaving scars, one torturer wrapped his hand with flax. Later, Wang Xiaodong was transferred to the Huadian City Detention Center. After the excruciating torture, Wang Xiaodong was unable to freely move his shoulder and elbow.

Wang Xiaodong kept conducting a hunger strike at the detention center to protest the persecution. The police brutally force-fed him. Now, Wang Xiaodong's life is in danger.

Huadian City Detention Center agents continuously persecuted Dafa practitioners who went on hunger strikes. The persecution team was led primarily by prison doctor Li (male, over 50 years old), deputy head Liu, and nurses in the Huadian City Steel and Iron Hospital.

After Wang Xiaodong's arrest, his mother appealed many times to the Huadian City Police Department. At first, Yu Jinji refused to see Wang Xiaodong's mother. They told her to go away. One day Wang Xiaodong's mother finally saw Yu Jinji and had the chance to ask him to release her son.

Yu Jinji said, "What I say does not count." Wang's mother replied, "You arrested my son; how come what you say does not count?"

Yu Jinji tried to have her thrown out. She said, "I will not go until you release my son. Xiaodong and I depend on each other for a living. You have already tortured my other son and sentenced him to prison for 12 years. Now you came to torture this son!"

When someone was around, Yu Jinji pretended to be concerned and said, "Then I will give you the basic insurance." Wang Xiaodong's mother said, "Don't talk about insurance. No matter how much money you give, it cannot be exchanged for my son."

When nobody was around, Yu Jinji became vicious. He said, "Go away immediately! Don't you know what's good for you? Were it not for you being a senior citizen, you would not be permitted go back either." Wang Xiaodong's mother said, "Then you can sentence me, too. I don't have anyone to take care of me anyway."

Later on, Wang Xiaodong's mother went to Huadian City Police Department to ask for her son back again. Yu Jinji scoffed at her, "Bring me 10 million yuan and I will release your son!" He added by saying, "The only solution is to make your son criticize Falun Gong." Wang Xiaodong's mother asked Yu Jinji, "How could you use excruciating methods to torture my son?" Yu Jinji said, "What excruciating methods?"

610 Office head Zhou Jian and others insulted Wang Xiaodong's mother. Wang Xiaodong's mother filed a lawsuit against the police department with the procurator, who dodged it among themselves and then handed the lawsuit to the 610 Office. 610 Office agents then started tailing Wang Xiaodong's mother. To avoid further persecution, she decided to leave her home. Every bureau that executed the law in Huadian colluded with each other. They did not try to solve the problem, but used surveillance to monitor her. They threatened her and traced information and people to find out who helped her write the lawsuit, who went online for her, who she contacted, etc.

Wang Xiaodong's mother now has no way to appeal. The police would arrive within five minutes if she consulted an attorney.

Yu Jinji is the former Huadian Police Station local officer. When the CCP escalated the persecution of Falun Gong in 2001, Yu Jinji was transferred to the police station's National Security Division as its leader. Almost all of the Dafa practitioners in Huadian have suffered miserable persecution under his orders.

(Clearwisdom.net) At around 5:00 a.m. on April 30, 2006, the head of the Changyi Sub-bureau of the Jilin City Police Department, along with 40 to 50 officers including five or six policewomen, arrived in 13 vehicles at Mr. Wang Jianguo's home in the Fourth Group, Hongyuan Village, Hongyuan Economic Development Zone, Changyi District, Jilin City. One of the vehicles was equipped to load cargo. The large contingent of police completely blocked the road in front of Mr. Wang's house and rushed into his courtyard while his family members were away. In just a few minutes they had ripped out a funeral canopy and plundered everything around it, leaving only Mr. Wang's portrait. They said that the funeral awning was "a bad influence."

Before this incident, at around 7 or 8 p.m. on April 29, two plainclothes police officers from the Jilin City Police Department had gone to the home of Wang Jianguo's uncle and threatened the family, saying, "You'd better not get involved in this matter [referring to Wang Jianguo's death], as it does not have anything to do with you. His parents need to come forward to get things straightened out." Mr. Wang 's relatives and friends were also threatened and intimidated to varying degrees by police and relevant departments. Those who work in factories or coalmines were harassed by their workplace security departments; those who work in government departments were talked to by their directors; even restaurant chefs were intimidated by the police. No matter where Wang Jianguo's relatives and friends worked, there were people out there to threaten them not to get involved in his death. Most of Mr. Wang's relatives' cell phones were also monitored. It's clear that the police department is afraid that the family may appeal as well as continue to expose the police's crimes to the public, so they are making a concerted effort to prevent the family members from getting involved. Earlier on, some unidentified people claimed to be reporters requesting to interview the family, when in fact they were trying to get information about the family's thoughts and plans on this matter.

On the morning of April 30, 2006, Mr. Wang's aunt went to the reception room of the Jilin City Police Department. The officer in the reception room called the department and two policemen came down to take her to the chief's office. Two days before, on April 28, Chief Lin Guorui had arranged for 18 people from the police and judicial departments to have a "briefing on Wang Jianguo's self-inflicted death" in the Jilin City Jail and sent an unreasonable request to Mr. Wang's family members, notifying them that they needed to remove the funeral awning and have the corpse cremated right away. Since the family did not want to accept these unreasonable demands, they raised several questions to chief Lin when they saw him on April 30. They asked, "You work for the government. Why didn't you reveal your true identity? What do you actually do? We have a right to know." "You said you did not have any responsibility for Mr. Wang's death. We want you to write down what you said so that we can use it in our appeal." "Who do you represent? Is it the Party or the government? Did the Party and the government tell you not to allow the common people to appeal and redress an injustice?" "Why do you say you will cremate the body against our will if we do not comply? Our family members think you are trying to destroy the corpse so as to erase any evidence against you." Faced with these questions, Lin Guorui did not have anything to say.

The family also asked, "With regard to your stealing the funeral awning this morning, aren't your people behaving like bandits? Forty to fifty people robbed things in broad daylight. The canvas used in the funeral awning was new. Where did you take these materials?" Lin said, "Your funeral canopy was set up on the road." The family said, "No, we set it up inside our courtyard. How can you say it was on the road?" Lin also said, "This matter has such a bad impact. Now everyone knows about it. Even people overseas know about it."

The family members said, "If you're afraid of the public knowing about this matter, then you should not have killed Wang Jianguo. Why did you not protect him? You could at least give us a reasonable explanation of his death. You casually threaten and intimidate us. You also registered the identities of those who came to mourn Mr. Wang. You even attempted to arrest his parents, telling the villagers that they would get a cash reward if they reported the couple to you." Lin said, "We did no such thing." The family members said, "The villagers told us about the cash reward. If you do not believe us, you can ask them."

Facing the questions the family raised, Lin didn't give direct answers. When the family members left, two policemen followed them closely and escorted them to the front door.

At 9 a.m. on April 30, 2006, four of Mr. Wang's family members went to the Jilin municipal government. Mr. Wang's 81-year-old grandmother held Mr. Wang's portrait and entered Jilin municipal government building to seek justice for her grandson who was persecuted to death. However, the receptionist asked them to go to the People's Congress to appeal. When the family members arrived at the Appeal's Office of the People's Congress, they were told to go to the Jilin City Police Department to appeal. On their way to the various offices, Mr. Wang's grandmother cried as she walked and told passersby about the injustice done to her grandson. At 10:12 a.m. they entered the Jilin City Police Department. In a short while, all of them came out. Obviously the police department was also trying to shirk its responsibility.

Mr. Wang's grandmother held his portrait and stood in front of the Jilin City Police Department and cried. The passersby slowly gathered around her. The elderly lady cried and said, "My grandson died unjustly. He and his wife ran a restaurant and lived a very happy life. Just because he practiced Falun Gong and did good deeds, he was killed in the jail in only 40 days. There is no way for me to complain to the higher authorities!"

After the passersby heard this, they were all very indignant and also sympathized with her very much. A woman said, "Bring a lawsuit against them. Appeal to the higher authority. You can even go to Beijing to appeal." Mr. Wang's grandmother said, "Although China is huge, where can I find an honest official?" One gentleman said indignantly, "Where is justice? Just because he practiced Falun Gong, he was beaten to death. Moreover there's no explanation for his death. The corpse wasn't even returned to the family. This society is too sinister." An elderly gentleman said, "Now there is no place to reason things out." There were dozens of people around discussing this issue.

Ms. Ma Ling was employed by Yunnan University Library. The address is: #9 North Cuihu Rd., Kunming City, Yunnan Province 650091. On September 21, 2004, she was arrested at work and sent to Kunming City's Wuhua District Detention Center. She was illegally detained until November 1. After that she was transferred to Kunming City Drug Addicts Rehab Labor Camp. Currently, the following practitioners are still detained in this labor camp:

Ms. Kuang Deying, detained in Yunnan Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp since January 5, 2002. In 2004, her term was illegally extended for two more years, and she was once again taken to Kunming City Drug Addicts Rehab Labor Camp, where she is currently.

Ms. Zhang Wenhang, previously employed at Yunnan Provincial Technological Supervision Bureau.

Ms. Yang Xiaoming works at Kunming Medical College Logistics Development Center Property Management Section (formerly called Kunming Medical College General Services Division). On December 29, 2001, she was illegally arrested by police from the National Security Division of Kunming City's Wuhua Local Police Station. Her residence was ransacked, and she was detained in Wuhua District Detention Center for 30 days. Afterwards, she was transferred to Yunnan Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp and sentenced to two years of forced labor. In 2004, she was transferred back to Kunming City Drug Addicts Rehab Labor Camp.

Ms. Mei Bilin was working as an assistant professor of English at Yunnan Forestry Vocational Technical College (formerly known as Yunnan Forestry School, located at #1 Jindian in Kunming). On September 21, 2004, she was arrested and imprisoned at Yunnan Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp. Currently she is still being held there. Her home phone number is 86-871-5017254.

Ms. Gao Qiongxian is 58 years old. In September 2004 she was illegally imprisoned in Yunnan Provincial Women's Forced Labor Camp. Her home phone number is 86-871-3354733.

Ms. Ding Shumei, her detailed information is yet to be investigated.

Mr. Jiang Yuliu, 33 years old, was arrested at his work place at Kunming City #2 Vocational School (#66 Renmingzhong Rd, Kunming City), and imprisoned in Kunming #2 Labor Camp, where he was deprived of sleep for brainwashing purposes. During this time his family members were not allowed to visit him. Currently, he is being held in Team 5 (family phone number: 86-13888400895).

Mr. Guo Hongyun from Anning was arrested by police in 2004 and imprisoned in Kunming #2 Labor Camp. He has suffered from all kinds of torture, such as beatings and sleep deprivation. He was also forced to do hard labor in his underwear. His family members are disallowed from visiting him. Currently, he is imprisoned in Team No. 1.

Mr. Deng Hui lives in Zutangzi Village, Zutangzi Village Municipal Town, Chake Township, Jianshui County, Yunnan Province. In April 2004, he was released by Yunnan Province #2 Labor Camp. Deng wrote a letter of appeal to the local authorities. In late August, he was arrested and taken to the local brainwashing center. On September 17, he was transferred to Yunnan #2 Labor Camp.

Mr. Su Kun is an assistant professor at the Kunming National Defense College. In 2005, he was arrested at work and imprisoned in the Yunnan #2 Labor Camp. He suffered from tortures such as being detained in a small cell, forceful brainwashing, having no family visits, etc.

Mr. Zuo Shiguang is in his 50s. He lives in Jitouzhong Village, Yongjian Township,
Weishan County. He is a monk from Sanguan Temple, located on the west side of Weishan County. Currently, he is being imprisoned in Team 3.

Mr. Hu Jinzhao, 36 years old, is a doctor in Yunnan Mental Hospital. At 5:00 p.m. on March 16, 2002, he was arrested while on duty by the National Security Division of Guodu District of Yunan's 610 Office, and imprisoned in Kunming City Detention Center. His residence was ransacked at the same time. On the morning of November 4, 2004, Hu was arrested and imprisoned in Yunnan #2 Labor Camp in Dapingba, Lufeng County, in Chuxiong State. He was sentenced to three years of forced labor.

On January 15, 2003, Mr. Li Shuchun was sentenced to 3 years of forced labor. His term was over on January 14, 2006, but the labor camp still has not released him.

Mr. Zhou Mofang (Mei Bilin's husband), was a physical education teacher in Yunnan Forestry Vocational College. In October 2002 he was taken from his residence by the police and was sentenced to five years of imprisonment. Currently he is detained in the Yunnan Province #1 Prison. Mr. Han Zhenkun was arrested at his home on April 23, 2004 and sentenced to seven years of imprisonment. Currently, he is imprisoned in the Yunnan #1 Prison, #12 Ward, Team 12, Group 5. His home phone number is 86-871-3176559.

Ms. Guo Juan (wife of Han Zhenkun), was arrested at her home in October 2002, and sentenced to three years of imprisonment. Currently, she is detained in Yunnan #2 Prison, Ward #1, Team 2.

Zhang Liang was arrested in late September 2005 and detained in the Wuhua Detention Center. He has been beaten numerous times, and his body has been injured in many places.

Ms. Li Hua is from the Yunnan Thermal Power Generation Company. She was turned in for distributing Falun Gong materials. On January 26, she was illegally taken from her home. Her residence was ransacked and her whereabouts is unknown.

(Clearwisdom.net) The daughter of my fellow practitioner is a student in junior high school in grade two. She is excellent in both study and morality. Originally she had a happy family. However, one year her mother got a serious disease, and the high cost of medical treatment brought huge hardships to her family. While feeling helpless at the time, they heard the good news of Falun Dafa spreading. Her mother practiced Falun Gong and her body recovered miraculously. Thus the family was grateful and firm in their belief in Dafa.

However, in 1999 the head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Jiang Zemin launched the insane persecution of Falun Dafa, and her mother was sent to the Jiangshuiquan Women's Labor Camp in Jinan for three years of forced labor, and was fined 10,000 yuan. Her father lost his job, so the family had no source of income. Her mother was persecuted in the labor camp because she persisted in her righteous belief. Police instigated thugs to spread rumors to her father, saying that her mother had improper relationships with other men in the labor camp, which made her father beat and abuse her mother every time they met in the labor camp.

After leaving the labor camp, her mother was dismissed by her work unit and was driven out of the home by her father. But her mother still had righteous thoughts and righteous actions, and clarified the truth and exposed the evil.

The evil CCP did not leave the girl alone the past few years. A teacher in the high school forced her to join the Communist Youth League. Last year the school put great pressure on her about joining the Youth League. They attacked her in turn, but the girl and her mother resisted firmly, so they failed. At the beginning of this year, the teacher attempted to force her again, claiming that the authorities have "approved her application," forcing her to copy the "application letter." She refused, and the teacher forbade her from going home. The coercion made her almost want to quit school. She told her parents, "I cannot take it any longer. I do not want to go to school anymore."

For a period of time, the school stopped the pressure. The girl and her parents thought that she had escaped from this hardship. However in early April the class held a meeting, and the teacher said they would have a vote for her joining the Youth League. The result was that the whole class voted for her joining the Youth League. The girl told this bad news to her mom, asking her mom to quit the evil organization again.

Hunan Dafa disciple Mr. Zhang Peng was illegally sentenced to ten years in jail because he clarified the truth about Falun Gong. From 2002 to 2004 he was detained at the Chishan Jail in Yuanjiang City, Hunan Province, and suffered torture. In late 2004, Hunan 610 Office personnel thought Zhang Peng attempted to escape with practitioner Mr. Jia Zhefa, so they moved Zhang Peng to the Yuanjiang Police Detention Center, and tortured him at length, until they coerced a confession from him.

In 2005 Zhang Peng was transferred to Section 5 of the Wuling Jail. He was forced to perform hard labor for more than ten hours each day, pay or holidays. Zhang Peng is a university teacher. After years of persecution in jail he became very weak. Because he insisted on studying the Fa and practicing the exercises, he was beaten and monitored day and night. Police arranged to have prisoners monitor his activities, even when he used the restroom. The Wuling Jail's education office sent him to an isolation brigade where he was tortured.

On April 7, 2006 State Security Brigade police in Yushu City broke into the sanitation office of Fuan Town, Yushu City, and abducting Dr. Wang Ruan, a Dafa disciple , then they went and searched his home, finding nothing. They detained Dr. Wang anyway. He is currently being detained at the Yushu Detention Center.

Mr. Zhao Yan, 28, is a graduate student from Harbin Industrial University, from Ningbo City. Because he distributed the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in Ningbo, the Ningbo Police illegally arrested him in late 2005. He is currently being detained at the Ningbo Detention Center. The Ningbo Court plans to sentence him within the next three weeks.

Ms. Zhang Shuling, who is in her 40s, is a teacher at the Jiaying Farm School in Heilongjiang Province. Because she refused to quit practicing Falun Gong, she suffered persecution many times. She is currently being detained at the Suihua Farm Detention Center. She was on a hunger strike for a long time to protest the illegal detention, and she was tortured until she was partially paralyzed, and then the authorities sent her to the hospital. Now her face has become deformed.

Dafa disciple Ms. Gao Hui from the Kaifu District in Changsha City was arrested by the Kaifu Police department from the Xinhe Police Station on December 20, 2005. She's been detained at the Changsha Detention Center for nearly four months. Now she's facing an illegal sentence.

Ms. Li Chenglan, an elderly practitioner from Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, was arrested on February 17 for distributing truth clarification materials. She is currently detained at the Guangdong Sanshui Labor Camp.

On March 21, 2006 several practitioners from the Qiezihe District in Qitaihe City were arrested. Taoshan police arrested Ms. Ji, an older practitioner, and Xiao Wang the same day. Mr. Li, a retired teacher, and his wife were also arrested in Qiezihe District, and have since been released. Local practitioner Ms. Han and another practitioner from Tieshan Town were later arrested.

Word has it that Mrs. Cai of Dongsheng Village along with her husband, who is not a practioner were also arrested. All of the aforementioned practitioners' homes were searched.

Recently, Shanghai Dafa practitioners Mr. Gao Hongdeng, Ms. Zhou Huilin, and Ms. Yu Peiying were clarifying the truth in a taxi and were reported to the authorities by the taxi driver.

Ms. Wang Yulan, who is in her 50s, lives on 6th Street in Langshan Township, Huailai County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. She was reported for distributing truth-clarification materials. She was arrested and taken to the police station in Huailai County, and the detention center refused to accept her. She was then held at the Langshan Township Police Station. The police said they would release her if her family gave them at least 8,000 yuan.

During the "Two Conferences," ten Dafa practitioners were arrested and detained in Gucheng County, Hebei Province. After the "Two Conferences," from March 25 to 28, Dafa practitioners Ms. Wang Chunlan, Ms. Mu Fanxi, and Ms. Sun Guilan were detained.

At around 9:00 p.m. on March 25, 2006, Gao Feng and Hou Hongqi and five other policemen from the National Security Team of Shanan Branch, Zhoukou City, suddenly broke into Dafa practitioner Ms. Yi Wangban's home. They conducted a search and found two Falun Gong exercise tapes. They arrested Yi Wangban and interrogated her at the police station. Later, she was illegally detained at the Zhengwa Detention Center, where they continued to persecute her.

Before the Lunar New Year Yi Wangban was reported, arrested and detained at the Beixing Police Station. Her family members were threatened by officer Li Yuzheng of the National Security Team, Shabei Branch, who blackmailed her family members for more than 2000 yuan and forced them to write a so-called guarantee statement before they agreed to release Yi Wangban. A few months later, the police arrested her again.

Ms. Wang Yuqin is a 58-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from the Twenty-Family Village of Taolaizhao Three-Family Township, Fuyu County, Jilin Province. At 5:00 a.m. on April 7, 2006, two police officers from the Taolaizhao Police Station and a village leader named Zhang Fengquan broke into Wang Yuqin's home and took her by force to the county detention center. They left her teenage grandson at home alone. They frightened the boy, and his schoolmates baited him. He was afraid of going to school and stayed at home.

The Cai Pu's are a married couple, and are retirees from the Agriculture University at Zhuzhou Dongchengfang, Baoding City, Hebei Province. They were fined several times because they practice Falun Gong. The wife was sent to forced labor camps three times. All told they've paid more than ten thousand yuan in fines. The wife is still in the forced labor camp for her third time.

According to a source that works in the governmental office, in early April the office received new unwritten orders from high level leaders. They are ordered to require each work unit to establish an office to investigate and attack each and every Falun Gong practitioner in each work unit in April and May. They are to arrest all who distribute truth-clarifying materials. This movement is also to include students and teachers at schools. They are calling the the movement the "Strict Attack."

Ms. Lin Yuling, a Falun Gong practitioner from Tongzhou District, Beijing, was arrested and detained for nearly two months. Her daughter, Ms. Kong Xuesong, was released. Both work for the Zhang Lixin Company.

Recently, Dafa Practitioner Gao Liangui from the Number 1 Institute Department of Astronautics was arrested by members of the 610 Office and the Taoyuanli Street Committee. Gao Liangui is more than sixty years old. After he was arrested and taken to a brainwashing class he began a hunger strike to protest the persecution. In the mean time his family's home was illegally searched and ransacked.

Dongli Township Police Station in Qiyuan County, Shandong province ganged up with the Society Combination Office and attacked Falun Gong. They produced flyers attacking and slandering Falun Gong and posted them everywhere. They also used money to entice and stimulate people to report Dafa practitioners who clarified the truth so they could be arrested.

At about 11 o'clock on the morning on March 30, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Hu Decong of Xiangtan City, Hunan Province was arrested by Zhang Guozheng and other three other police officers from the Jian Village Police Station in Xiangfangshe while he was on his way home from work for lunch. The police arrested Mr. Hu, took him home, and illegally confiscated his residence. Then they took him to the Jintangwang Detention Center.

On March 8, 2006, police arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zou Xifang from Sun Village, Changcheng Town, Zhucheng City, Shandong Province, and took her to the Zhucheng City Detention Center. On April 3, 2006 she was sent to the Wangcun Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City, Shandong Province.

Falun Gong Practitioners Ms. Wen Xiaochun and Ms. Liu Yulan from Huangjue Village, Suining City, Sichuan Province were arrested on April 2, 2006 while they were clarifying the truth in Longhui Village.

On March 31, 2006 at about 11:00 a.m., members of the Huangpo City 610 Office in Wuhan City directed more than forty police officers and National Security Team officers in the district police department and police stations in Qianchuan, Lutai, Niukou and other local communities to break into many Falun Gong practitioners' homes to conduct illegal searches and arrest them.

Moreover the Huangpo City 610 Office ordered mass printings of propaganda materials slandering Dafa. They forcibly held the Qianchuan Street residents group leader meeting on March 28 to spread those materials. Some communities also displayed content on their community bulletin boards, spreading the propagandized rhetoric of terror and hatred, deceiving the public and poisoning the residents.

On April 5 Falun Gong Practitioner Qiu Yabai from Qianfeng Town, Guang'an City, Sichuan Province was reported to the authorities and arrested while he distributed truth-clarifying materials in Guixing Town.

Since September 2005 more than ten Falun Gong practitioners from Yunfu suffered persecution. Ms. Ruan Guihuan and Ms. Ou Suhong were illegally sentenced to three years. On March 30, 2006 Deng Jinrui, the Yunfu department manager of the Guangdong Mobile Communications Corporation, was arrested and taken to the Sanshui Brainwashing Class by police officers and members of the 610 Office. He'd been sentenced for one year in the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp in March 2000 because he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yang Hailian was arrested and taken to the Sanshui Brainwashing Class for persecution. She'd been detained in 2005 and sentenced to two years in the Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Lai Zhenxian from the Yunfu Agriculture Bureau was sentenced to three years in the forced labor camp. The sentence expired on February 27, 2006, but she is still illegally imprisoned at the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xie is over 60 years old and lives in Yuanling, Luohu District, Shenzhen City. She has two daughters, Ms. Zhang Zhihong and Ms. Zhang Zhiying. They are all Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Zhang Zhihong was illegally sentenced to seven years. She is currently imprisoned and suffering persecution.

The police arrested Zhang Zhiying from her home in February 2006. Right now no one knows where she is. Simultaneously the police surrounded Ms. Xie's home for more than twenty days, and she was in a very difficult situation. The uniformed officers have withdrawn, but plainclothes officers are still monitoring her illegally and looking for a chance to persecute her.

During the night of April 10, 2006, personnel from the Kuishangang Security Team, in the Fengxi District, Chaozhou City arrested practitioners Ms. Chen Chunlan and Ms. Xu Lihua from the Fengxi District while they were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people. Because she refuses to renounce the practice, the police are not allowing her family members to visit her and declared they would sentence her to a prison term.

On the morning of April 14, 2006, personnel from the Lingfeng Community Center deceived practitioner Sun Li from Chaoyang City into going to the center with the ruse of processing an I.D. for Sun Li's daughter. Seven or eight policemen from the Chaoyang City National Security Division and from the Beita Police Legal Case Team then arrested her.

These persons then went to Sun Li's home the same day and ransacked the place. A VCD player, a recorder and a cell phone were confiscated. Other details are unknown so far. Sun Li is now being held at the No. 2 Detention Center (Shijiahetao) in Chaoyang City.

On the afternoon of April 11, 2006, personnel from the Dongsheng Police Station arrested practitioners Ms. Liu Xiangfen, Ms. Zong Fengqin, Mr. Yang Bingxin and Ms. Li Shuxian from Yangmansa Village for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people. The four homes were ransacked. Police confiscated several copies of Zhuan Falun. At present, the practitioners are being held at Gaobeidian City Detention Center and have been staging a hunger strike for eight days.

In May 2005 personnel from Dingxing County's National Security Division arrested practitioner Hu Jinfeng. He was held in a detention center for four days and then transferred to the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp and is still there. It has been eight to nine months already. Police don't allow Hu Jinfeng's family to visit him. Details of his plight are unknown.

Hu Jinfeng was working as a laborer outside of his hometown. In May 2005 he returned and visited Dingxing County. Personnel from the Dingxing County Police Department saw him and arrested him. They confiscated 5,000 yuan and a work I.D. from Hu Jinfeng's pocket and haven't returned them to him so far. At present, practitioners Hu Zichun, Wang Chunde, Jing Qi and others are held at the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp. Labor camp officials forbid their family members to visit them. The detailed circumstances are unknown.

According to an investigation on April 8, 2006, a plainclothes policeman spotted practitioner Li Xinjian when he was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to people in the Fangzi District. The policeman arrested Li Xinjian and put him into the Weifang City Detention Center. It's said someone from his street administration committee led personnel from the "610 Office" and from the police department to Li Xinjian's home. They ransacked the place and confiscated some Falun Dafa books.

At present, Li Xinjian is still held at the Weifang City Detention Center. Nobody is allowed to visit or send him anything. Detention center personnel even attempted to extort cash from his family. They complained, "Li Xinjian is very uncooperative. If he stages a hunger strike he will be sentenced to forced labor."

Practitioner Mr. Li Zhenzhong who lives on Xiaoxi Street, Yongnian County, Hebei Province was released after three months of being on a hunger strike, but he is still under close police surveillance. Police park a car at the entrance to his home and forbid any visits.

Personnel from the Fengtai District's "610 Office" keep running brainwashing classes to persecute practitioners. The location of the class is in the Guangfeng Hotel. Chiefly responsible person is Bao Kun from the "610 Office." People from other "610 Offices" in community offices and some collaborators also took part in these brainwashing classes. Those from community offices are only responsible for monitoring practitioners, while those from "610 Offices" and collaborators are responsible for brainwashing practitioners with their twisted logic and slanderous CCP-made videos.

According to a local media report, "610 Office" agent Bao Kun's mother used to practice Falun Gong. So Bao Kun first persecuted his mother and forced her to give up Falun Gong. Bao Kun has done everything he can to persecute practitioners for the past few years for the sake of promotions. According to his own estimates, he personally made 150 practitioners give up Falun Gong. Nevertheless, he did not completely trust those who broke away from Falun Gong. That is why he paid each of the collaborators 30 to 40 yuan every day as bonus, to ensure that the collaborators work for the persecutors, to keep the classes running. In addition, the brainwashing classes could keep the collaborators from returning to Falun Dafa.

Bao Kun and others in the class are scared of facing their future. They have access to the Clearwisdom website. They are afraid of Internet exposure.

Practitioners Mr. Wang Junyao and Mr. Zhang Wensheng are employees of the Bohai Petroleum Company in the Tanggu District, Tianjin City. On April 15, 2006, Yang Xiancai, Han Tianhong and other policemen from the company's Public Security Division and personnel from the Tanggu Precinct Police Department ransacked the two practitioners' homes. Wang Junyao's work unit supervisor had deceived him into going to the company headquarters. Police waiting there arrested him. The practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Lan Guixiu, in her 60s, is a retired employee from Jilin City's Qibiao Factory. Around 10:00 a.m. on April 17, 2006, she and two other old ladies were reading Falun Gong books at home when personnel from the Huangqitun Police Station opened their door with a master key and ransacked the home. They confiscated some Dafa books and took Ms. Lan Guixiu away.

On the afternoon of March 27, 2006, practitioner Ms. Sun Guilan from Wuhu Village and practitioner Ms. Wang Chunlan from Tan Village, Gucheng County were arrested and their homes were ransacked.

Around March 23, 2006, the county's "610 Office" agents held a secret meeting and assigned each unit of the county to check practitioners' computers, home by home. It has been reported that the county government leaders feared the exposure of their crimes on the Internet. They also attempted to destroy truth-clarifying materials production sites.

Practitioners Mr. Wang Hongnan and Mr. Yang Kezhi from Anshan City are being held at the Yaojialing Prison in Dalian City, Liaoning Province. The prison is known as the City's No.3 Cement Factory. It does not look like a prison from the outside. Many practitioners were held there. Wang Hongnan has been so severely tortured that his arms are now paralyzed.

Practitioner Tian Xiaofei is being held in the Huazi Prison.

In early April 2006, the police detained practitioner Ms. Liu Aiying from Xi'an City. It happened when she was distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Armed Police Hospital dormitories. She was later sent to a local "610 Office." Zhou Xiaoyu from the Xincheng District Police Department then arrested her. On April 10 she was sent to the Xi'an City Brainwashing Class, located in the Xi'an City Worker's Rehab Center.

Professor Ms. Zhou Kongrong from Sichuan University, in her 70s, was arrested on April 9, 2006 for distributing truth-clarifying materials. Her home was ransacked. She is presently being held at Jitou Town's Brainwashing Class in Chengdu City.

Policemen with some conscience say that "Falun Gong persons are not bad people, but stubborn. Although they will be arrested, detained, imprisoned or even lose their lives, they still distribute fliers. We have no idea how to deal with them."

Practitioner Ms. Zhou Derong from Jinzhou City, Hubei Province was sentenced to three years of imprisonment. The prison term had expired on April 9, 2006. She ought to have been released; however the Wuhan City Women's Prison authority transferred Ms. Zhou to the city's brainwashing class, saying she exhibited "poor performance" in the prison.

Personnel from Xianyang City's Police Department arrested the practitioner couple Li Chengming and Zhao Wei from the Qindu District, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. The agents ransacked their home and confiscated their Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials.

Practitioner Ms. Shao Bixia is from Liu'an City, Anhui Province and was placed into the Anhui Province Women's Forced Labor Camp in May 2003 for three years. In the first a few months she was permitted only two hours of sleep a day and had to face a wall for the rest of the time. Several months later she had lost much weight. Her detention term expires soon, but was extended by two months.

Practitioner Mr. Wei Guo is also from Liu'an City. He had been arrested the end of October 2005. It was reported that his case was handed to the Liu'an City Procuratorate, and he would be sentenced to imprisonment.

Practitioners held at the Anda Brainwashing Center at the Jinggang Town Police Department in the Shushan District, Hefei City, Anhui Province include Ms. Yang Yufeng, Ms. Sun Hongzhen and Ms. Pan Meisi.

When Ms. Liu Lanxiang was clarifying the truth at the Dongqu Market police arrested her again and her situation is unknown.

On the afternoon of April 14, 2006, policemen Wang Hailong and Dong Xiumin from the Qinglong County Police Department, together with Yang Weimin from the County's "610 Office," broke into practitioner Di Fengxia's house. They claimed that someone reported her to police. They illegally searched the house and confiscated one computer and three printers. They arrested Di Fengxia and took the practitioner to the Qinglong County Detention Center.

Someone reported practitioners Hua Lanxian, Gu Liqing and Deng Cuiping from Yuxi City, Yunan Province on April 8, 2006 when they were distributing and posting truth-clarifying materials at Beicheng Town in Hongta District. Hongta District National Security Team agents soon after arrested them. Currently, the three practitioners are being locked up in the Hongta District Detention Center and Jiangchuan Detention Center.

Deng Cuiping is a teacher for the Yuxi Education System where several teachers have been persecuted for clarifying the truth. They are: Ms. Li Xiulan (a primary school teacher in Chunhe Town), Mr. Fei Xuelong (a teacher of the Yuxi City Agriculture Secondary School), Ms. Li Lingzhen (a primary school teacher in Chunhe Town), Ms. Chen Yahong (a teacher of the Chunhe Town Primary School) and Ms. Deng Cuiping (a teacher of the Liu Zongqi Primary School in Chunhe Town).

Practitioner Huang Huanping was at work on April 12 when s/he was arrested and is currently being detained in the Shanshui District Brainwashing Class in Foshan City. Recently, many illegally arrest took place in Guangdong Province.

1. Withholding stipend: Each detainee will receive 5-10 yuan less every month, sometimes nothing. Each one released will lose one or two months' pay.

2. Depriving food: most detainees are not provided with enough food to eat.

3. Selling each towel for 6-7 yuan that lasts only one month. Many items are sold for very high prices. On October 1, 2005, extra fish that had already spoiled was provided for a meal and sold for 10 yuan each.

4. Extorting money and confiscating belongings: guards took money, clothes, leather shoes, shampoo, etc. Police would shorten a prisoner's term if they could extort more from the prisoner. Some valuable items prisoner's families had mailed to them and all food was confiscated.

5. Brutal beating: Prison policeman Yu Bangqing beat prisoners with electric batons or whips.

Since 2005, agents from the Xiangcheng National Security Bureau in Henan Province have frequently watched and harassed Dafa practitioners at their homes. Most wicked are the following individuals:

Ma Zefeng: He extorted money and gifts from practitioners and their families, ranging from 500 yuan to 2,000 yuan. He also demanded an additional 3,000 yuan parole payment from the practitioners' families.

Niu Hanqing told Dafa practitioners' families to invite him out to meals and demanded additional money, from 300 to 500 yuan. When the families visited practitioners at the detention center, he made up various schemes, saying that, unless they greased his palms and again treated him to meals, they would not be seeing their loved ones.

Jiang Weijian and Wei Jianhua often monitored and followed practitioners. They used excuses to "void" the parole money paid by the practitioners' families. He took mobile phones from Dafa practitioners and has never returned them.

Others guilty of persecution include Zhou Qingwu, Jin Hai, Zhao Jie, Li Zhi.

(Clearwisdom.net) As of May 2, 2006, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has three times denied the visa applications from investigators of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG). This shows that even after removing all the evidence at the secret Sujiatun Concentration Camp that performs organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, the CCP does not dare to welcome an outside investigation. The CCP would rather slap its own face, by denying the open invitation to the world made by a spokesperson of the China Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to delay the truth from being further exposed.

The crimes, including organ harvesting from living people, that the CCP has conducted to savagely torture innocent Falun Gong practitioners, are hard facts. The evidence of various persecution methods used in forced labor camps, prisons and secret concentration camps to exterminate Falun Gong are irrefutable.

After hearing of the CCP's crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners and then cremating bodies to destroy evidence, Mr. Dong, former professor at Nanjing University and now a resident of Montreal, Canada said, "We absolutely believe that the CCP can do this kind of thing. It is not just now that it has started to do it. The CCP has been doing this to executed criminals for an extended time. The CCP has viewed Falun Gong as its number one enemy. We truly believe that it does this to Falun Gong."

A young lady who has just immigrated from Sujiatun to Canada stood for a long while after watching the Falun Gong practitioners' demonstration of live organ harvesting. In great grief, she said, "I know all these are true. What has been exposed was not even one thousandth of it. My relatives and classmates who work at the Public Security Bureau, hospitals and other government offices are more pained than I. They witnessed this with their own eyes."

What is for certain is that in addition to the witnesses like Annie and Peter who exposed the secret Sujiatun Concentration Camp, throughout the whole of China where Falun Gong practitioners are imprisoned, there are a lot of people who still have their conscience and who have participated in, witnessed, and known or heard about the organ harvesting of living Falun Gong practitioners. After they recognize the CCP's evil and cruel nature, many of them will step forward, as did brave Annie and Peter, just like this new immigrant to Canada, like her relatives and friends, to tell the whole world about the CCP's persecution against Falun Gong.

Maybe now the CCP has neither the resources nor the means to deceive and control the people who know of its crimes. Therefore, it has to eat its own words and reject outside investigation. But do not forget that investigating, exposing and stopping the persecution will not be deterred only because of the evildoer's rejection. First, the rejection itself has pointed to the CCP's guilty conscience, and second, with the exception of the CCP's own confession, witnesses and evidence could emerge in any form and at any time. The facts are everywhere and will not be stopped by the CCP's denying visa applications.

Even if the CCP can temporally block investigators from a local investigation, it cannot block the whole world from conducting substantive investigation from all angles. Do not forget, there are millions of Falun Gong practitioners in China who have been persecuted. They are the most powerful witnesses for the CCP's persecution against Falun Gong. Via practitioners and their relatives, friends, neighbors and colleagues, via every awakening person and every possible channel, the evil crime of organ harvesting against living Falun Gong practitioners, as well as all other crimes conducted by the CCP, will all be exposed to the entire world.

Once people have seen all of the CCP's crimes, those who have participated in persecuting Falun Gong will be prosecuted. They will become criminals who will be forever denounced by good people. This reality will not be stopped by the CCP's denying visa applications.

Under such a fast developing situation, will there still be someone who is willing to be the scapegoat and die for the CCP, by continuing to imprison and persecute Falun Gong practitioners? When the CCP can no longer find people to continue its persecution, will the CCP not come to an end?

Investigation itself is not the whole purpose. Searching for evidence of the CCP's persecution or even organ harvesting against living Falun Gong practitioners is not the whole purpose. Through the process of exposing the CCP's crimes, people will understand how the CCP has brutally persecuted benevolent people and they will understand the nature of the persecution and the evil of the CCP. Public knowledge will exert pressure and the CCP will not dare to imprison Falun Gong practitioners. The persecution will stop and the evil CCP will be brought to its end. That is the true purpose of Falun Gong practitioners' actively organizing the international justice forces to fully investigate the facts of the persecution.

(Clearwisdom.net) As I become more diligent in Fa study and "clarifying truth," my understanding of the poem "Do Not Be Sad" from Teacher's book of poems, "Hong Yin (II)" has gone from a perceptual understanding to one that is more rational. When I first read it, my understanding was that it does not have much to do with practitioners outside of prisons, detention centers and labor camps, and that our compassionate Teacher is only telling those who are illegally detained to "not be sad." Instead of being swayed by emotion, they need to take the Fa as teacher and have righteous thoughts and deeds in the evil environment. Also, they should calmly search for their attachments and get rid of them. Only then would the evil be eliminated and could they be released.

After repeatedly studying the Fa, my understanding changed. Teacher's words are concise and simple, yet they profoundly contain deep Fa principles behind them. For every practitioner, Teacher's Fa is our guide for cultivation. It is the most respectful and precious base for cultivation in Fa rectification. Therefore, it cannot be regarded as only relevant to some, but not to others.

On July 20, 1999, the evil Communist regime started its terrible persecution against Falun Gong. Such systematic and widespread persecution turned China into a nation-wide prison for practitioners. Facing this prison, determined practitioners let go of life and death, had no fear, and courageously went to Tiananmen to expose the evil and save sentient beings. Their brave deeds shocked heaven and earth. Gods admired them and the evil feared them.

However, some practitioners became muddled-headed because of the CCP's fabricated propaganda and could not tell right from wrong. Some are afraid, even though they know that Falun Dafa is good. They hide at home and practice secretly. This is like confining themselves in the prison set up by the CCP, daring not to step out of it. Others gave up their beliefs due to fear. Some even stepped to the opposite side and brought negative effects to Dafa. For those practitioners, our compassionate Teacher is worried. Teacher taught the Fa many times encouraging practitioners in mainland China to work together to end this brutal persecution. Although some practitioners are validating the Fa under various environments, after Fa study and experience sharing, others cannot break through the blockage set by the evil regime, therefore missing opportunities to save sentient beings.

Teacher often tells us that Dafa disciples are one body. If every particle in this body can function, the evil persecution will not exist. Even if it exists, it would not be as blatant, brutal and vicious. It is a big lesson for all practitioners, especially for those who did not do so well in the past. The recent Fa lectures by Teacher abroad, and the cases of fellow practitioners being abducted and tortured, made me realize that, while the practitioners who are being detained at prisons, labor camps, detention centers and brainwashing classes are facing a tangible prison, every practitioner is facing an invisible prison consisting of our postnatally formed notions, including the notions formed by the Party culture. As a Dafa practitioner, whether or not one can break through these notions is directly related to whether he can realize his prehistoric vows, keep up with the process of Fa rectification, do the three things well, and be a qualified Dafa practitioner in the Fa rectification period. One who can break through them is a God; otherwise he is a human.

After seeing fellow practitioners being abducted and tortured, my human notions surfaced. On the surface, I had fear. What am I afraid of? I am afraid of being arrested, my family being affected, my future being destroyed if I cannot withstand the torture, etc. In fact, behind the fear are degenerate human factors and selfish notions. If I do not get rid of these notions, I cannot break through the prison, and "helping Teacher to rectify the Fa" cannot be attributed to me, let alone cultivating in the Fa rectification.

How to eliminate human notions? I realize that there is no shortcut. We can only achieve this by studying the Fa diligently and doing the three things well everyday.

"The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts." ("Drive Out Interference")

Real life experience shows that only by studying the Fa well can we break through our human notions, truly abandon our human thoughts, and do the three things well as a practitioner should.

Fa rectification is coming to the end and there is not much time left for practitioners to validate Dafa.

"As you get rid of the human mentality, evil naturally disappears." (Do Not Be Sad)

If every practitioner gets rids of his human notions, exposes the evil, clarifies the truth and saves sentient beings, how could the evil continue to exist? Isn't it time for the Fa to rectify the human world? Those who have dared not step out, please hurry to break the human prison and keep up with the pace of Fa rectification.

Every time we hold a Falun Dafa activity, the heavenly kingdoms are busy as well. Especially when it's Master's birthday or a large-scale Fa conference, all the flowers in the heavenly flower shops are used up. Sometimes there are not even enough! The flying deities are busy flying around to prepare things.

In fact, some of the world's holidays correspond to the heavenly ones, such as Mother's Day. All mothers come down to visit their children in the Three Realms, and Master chose this day to come, which tells the world's people that our "mother," who has every being in her heart, has also come. But people cannot be told this directly, so the worldly Mother's Day is not a fixed day, but takes turns around that day. This arrangement is very meaningful, because heaven and earth celebrate this most splendid day together.

On this day, all cultivators' mothers come to encourage their children. They clap their hands if their children are in good cultivation states, and then go back with a satisfied smile. If their children are not doing well, they try to give a hint, and many of their family members even come down and worry beside them. The heavenly soldiers and warriors stand guard, expecting their children in the maze to return home. They are all very proud that their children could be disciples of the Lord of Buddhas, hoping they can reach Consummation and bring the indestructible harmonious new Fa of the cosmos home. They are all watching closely, worried. But to put it in another way, all those carefully arranged tribulations and tests are for disciples to upgrade their xinxing. Mothers always stay near their children. Especially when their children have not passed their tests well, they wait there with compassion, patiently waiting for their children to wake up.

Today when I was sitting meditating, I saw that the sentient beings in my kingdom were busy in a very magnificent hall, and it seemed like they were preparing a ceremony. They were very happy, but it seemed like they were doing some last minute work to finish. When I asked them what they were bustling around for, they answered, "The Lord is coming back!"

(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. 1. Mr. Cheng Chuanzhao, who was over 50 years old, worked at Henan Province Kaifeng Suburban Area Procuratorate. According to reliable sources, Mr. Cheng Chuanzhao was responsible for persecuting Falun Gong. Although he had very good health, he died in May 2004 after vomiting black liquid. After his death, it was determined that he had died from stomach cancer.

2. The Heilongjiang Province Beian City train stationmaster Zhang Jun and Secretary Jiang Guozhong coordinated with the railroad system to persecute station staff members who practiced Falun Dafa by laying them off from their duties for extended periods of time. Afterward, although these staff members were reinstated to their jobs, they were no longer treated the same. During the time that the Falun Gong staff members were without work, they were many times intimidated with threats of being taken to the labor camps. This spring, these Falun Dafa practitioner staff members were laid off with the excuse that they failed a test. Before long, a minor incident happened, where both the stationmaster and secretary were removed from their positions.

3. Mr. Wang Zhigang, 42, was a member of the Guard and Control Brigade in Liaoning Province Huludao (originally the Liaoning Province Huludao Lianshan Area Xinggong Police stationmaster). In early April 2006, while driving on the freeway, Mr. Wang's car suddenly skidded off of the road, resulting in his death.

When Wang Zhigang was appointed as the stationmaster, he sought after fame and fortune by closely following Jiang's group in sparing no effort to brutally persecute Dafa practitioners. More than fifty practitioners were illegally sentenced to serve terms at the labor camps under his hand. He also illegally extorted money from family members of Dafa disciples.

4. Jilin Province Jingyu County Police Department Political Security Section chief Wei Jian has persecuted Dafa disciples since the persecution began on July 20, 1999. He heavily fined Dafa practitioners, forcing many practitioners to become destitute and homeless. Afterward, Wei Jian even went so far as to use his authority to produce fake passports to swindle additional funds. Eventually he was exposed and prosecuted by the Procuratorate. On April 18, 2006 he was arrested.

(Clearwisdom.net) Song Jing of the Tang Dynasty lived in Xingzhou Nanhe (now Xingtai City, Nanhe County.) He was a famous prime minister of Emperor Xuanzong. He was upright and honest, and upheld the law and justice.

A treacherous court official Zhang Yizhi wanted to frame Wei Yuanzhong, so he bribed Zhang Shuo to say that Wei Yuanzhong had made some remarks not conforming to Wei's official status.

When the court time came, Zhang Shuo was extremely worried. Song Jing told him, "For a person, his integrity and sense of justice are most important. You should not bring a false charge against a good person to save yourself. If you should have any mishaps, I certainly will arrive in front of the emperor to rescue you, and I would die with you."

Zhang Shuo was touched by Song Jing's words and told the truth. Thus, Wei Yuanzhong was saved from execution.

Later Song Jing was promoted to the Duke of Guangping and a high office. He enjoyed longevity and eventually died of old age.

(Clearwisdom.net) Zhao Cishan, the governor of Guangde County, was Fang Yagong's grandfather. When Fang Yagong was little, he was studying one evening and fetched some charcoal to warm his feet.

Upon seeing this, Zhao Cishan scolded the grandson, saying, "You are such a young scholar, so you should be diligent and persevere. How come you cannot endure a little cold? You must know that an official in the court, even on a snowy day, has to line up in a group before dawn waiting for the emperor to show up. You will unavoidably have to endure the cold weather. If a person enjoys the comfort of old age while he is young, he certainly will not live to be old. If he enjoys the comfort of the rich and the noble before he becomes rich and noble, eventually it will also be impossible for him to achieve the status of being rich and noble."

Fang Yagong respectfully accepted his grandfather's words, and in the end he became the grand minister of justice.
