(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mrs. Hou Junfang, 59, lived in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. She was the wife of an employee of the Hongguang Electronics Factory. She had many diseases before cultivating, including heart disease, migration, gallstones, etc. She became very healthy after cultivating Falun Dafa in 1995.

After the evil party started persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999, Ms. Hou Junfang went to Beijing to appeal in December 1999. She was detained for fifteen days and extorted of more than three thousand yuan. Ever since then, policemen, 610 Office agents, and the Neighborhood Administration often came to her house to harass her, causing huge damage to her mental and physical health.

In December 2000, Ms. Hou Junfang went to Beijing to appeal again. She was arrested and taken to the Square Police Station, sent to Changping County, and forced to tell her name and address. She was brutally beaten because she refused identify herself. Policemen feared she might die, so they dropped her off on the roadside. She was very clear-headed, so she rolled into a woodland area to prevent being killed by the police vehicle. She climbed to the road later, and was taken to a motel by a kind-hearted tricycle rider. She rested there for two hours and then took a bus to the Beijing West Train Station, and returned home on her own.

During the past several years, due to close monitoring and harassment by policemen and 610 Office agents, her health continually worsened. She died on January 4, 2006.
