Taiwan: Celebration of World Falun Dafa Day in Tainan (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the eve of Mother's Day, Falun Gong practitioners in Tainan celebrated World Falun Dafa Day in Zhongshan Park. Mr. Cheng Jianguo, Assistant in Department of Special Affairs in city government, City Councilman Cai Wangquan, Qiu Lili, Li Zongyan and Mr. Lu, secretary of Legislator Lai Qingde attended the celebration in person and expressed their respect and encourage to the spirit of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. It was a warm and peaceful atmosphere.

Master Li Hongzhi introduced Falun Dafa to the public on May 13, 1992.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) arbitrarily launched a persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. Falun Gong practitioners in many places proposed to establish May 13 as Falun Dafa Day in 2000. Practitioners in more than 80 countries celebrated the Falun Dafa Day and called for people of justice to help stop the persecution in China.

Falun Dafa Association in Taiwan and Minghui School carefully planned the celebration. It included colorful music entertainment, children's games, coloring competition, wind-mill-making and food booths.

A drum performance by 50 Falun Gong practitioners touched everyone's heart.

An action drama exposed the CCP's crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. The audience was shocked and moved to tears.

City Councilor Cai said he had known Falun Gong practitioners for years. He witnessed their health and spirit improvement, their harmonious family lives and the peace they had brought to the society. He was hoping to find time to join Falun Dafa cultivation and let the whole world know the benefit of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.
