(Clearwisdom.net) On April 13, 2006, Hon. Francine Lalonde, Member of Parliament of Canada, wrote a letter to Hon. Peter MacKay, Minister of Foreign Affairs, urging the Canadian government to make sure that the international investigation of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China is actually carried out, and in a timely fashion as soon as possible , so that the truth may come to light. Below is the English translation from the original letter in French.

Ottawa, April 13, 2006

Honorable Mr. Peter Mackay

Minister of Foreign Affairs

Ottawa

Honorable Sir:

For a number of weeks now, the Falun Dafa Association of Canada is making serious allegations of imprisonments in concentration camps, persecution and execution by the CCP of Falun Gong practitioners in order to extract their vital organs and human tissues for resale.

According to the Falun Dafa Association, there would be a concentration camp, located in the district of Sujiatun, in the town of Shenyang, where there were detainees up to 120,000 people. (Editors note: the reported number for this camp is around 6,000; the one that reportedly detained 120,000 was another camp.)

On Friday, March 31, 2006, Mr. Manfred Nowak Special Rapporteur on Torture for the United Nations, worried by these allegations, informed me that he would investigate. The followers of Falun Gong have been victims for a long time of persecution and such persecution has been recognized by the High Commission for Humans Rights of the United Nations since the year 2000, I rely upon you to make sure that this international investigation is actually carried out, and in a timely fashion as soon as possible, so that the truth may come to light.

Hoping that you will grant this most urgent request all the consideration that it deserves.

Please be assured, Mr. Minister, of the expression of my most sincere wishes.

Respectfully yours,

Member of Parliament of La Pointe-de-l'lle,

Spokeperson for the Bloc Québécois in Foreign Affairs
