Leaving People Our Compassion When Passing by Them Quickly and Without a Chance to Talk to Them

(Clearwisdom.net) When I read the first paragraph of "Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference" for the first time, I did not understand it very well. Master said, "Also, with those people that you run into by chance, who you run into in daily life, and the people you run into at work, you should all clarify the truth to them. Even when in your daily life you pass by people so quickly that you don't have a chance to talk to them, you should still leave them with your compassion and kindness. Don't lose those who should be saved, especially those with predestined connections. Actually, a lot of Dafa disciples say when they're clarifying the truth, 'I'm going to go clarify the truth now,' as if at that moment they're going to clarify the truth, but they don't clarify the truth normally. Saving beings should permeate every single aspect of your daily lives at this time. If you can all understand and really see its importance, I think you'll probably save more beings." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference") I had no idea how to do this so as to provide sentient beings a means of salvation at any given moment.
When I studied this paragraph again, I suddenly had some understanding. If we cultivate ourselves well, we will save more beings, even when we pass by people so quickly that we don't have a chance to talk to them. Teacher stated, "We teach salvation of both ourselves and others, as well as of all beings. Thus, Falun can save oneself by turning inward and save others by turning outward. While turning outward, it gives off energy and can benefit others. This way, within your energy-covering field others will benefit, and they may feel very comfortable. Whether you are on the street walking, in the workplace, or at home, you can have this effect on others. People within your field may unintentionally have their illnesses healed since this field can rectify all abnormal conditions. A human body should not become ill, and being ill is an abnormal state. It can rectify this abnormal state." (Zhuan Falun) When we consistently do well the three things that Teacher told us to do, we are actually continuously moving up and breaking-through toward higher levels. Along with moving up in level, our own energy fields become stronger and stronger. Moreover, since we practice the righteous Fa, the energy field will be a compassionate one. All the beings surrounding us will be assimilated into the Fa and rectified. Isn't this the biggest mercy to all the living beings? Teacher also said, "As a matter of fact, if your thoughts are very righteous, when you walk down the street and go about your life in the city where you live, all of your surroundings will be cleansed. Your mere existence has the effect of saving sentient beings." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York") Therefore, by cultivating ourselves well and keeping righteous actions with righteous thoughts, we can save more beings. No matter what kind of means we make use of, we have awakened the aware side in all. These means can take the form of making a phone call, sending a fax, breaking through the Internet blockade, or sending an email or postal mail. The reason beings become more clear minded from their initially blind objections is because of our truth clarification. Superficially, in this dimension the truth-clarification affected one being, but in other dimensions, our righteous thoughts have eliminated the evil factors holding control of all the beings.
Dafa disciples cultivate according to the ultimate Fa of the Universe. We have the responsibility to rescue people and to, "Validate the Fa with rationality, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and save people with mercy." ("Rationality" from Essentials for Further Advancement II)
