Minnesota State Senator Ellen Anderson Writes in Congratulation of World Falun Dafa Day


(Clearwisdom.net) On May 11, 2006, Minnesota State Senator Ellen Anderson wrote a letter to congratulate World Falun Dafa Day and condemn organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Dear Friends,

I am pleased and honored to offer an enthusiastic greeting to those gathering here in Minnesota today to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day.

It is my understanding that many Minnesotans are learning and enjoying the benefits of Falun Dafa. Known for its effectiveness in improving health and its profound principles of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance, this ancient practice has grown to be the most popular form of its kind in Chinese history. We are gathered here today not only to celebrate this excellent form of exercise and meditation but to raise awareness of the grave atrocities being committed against thousands of Falun Dafa practitioners in China.

In the past several weeks disturbing news reports of a secret medical facility and underground prison in northeast China have been revealed by two independent sources. These sources stated that the facility exclusively holds Falun Gong practitioners, expressly to provide a fresh supply of human organs for use in transplant operations. Families have no idea that their loved ones are held in the camp, or indeed where they are, after they have disappeared.

In the face of such horrific allegations it is vital that our country take a stand and investigate these charges. These persecutions represent not only the worst of human atrocities against Falun Gong, but an affront to the humanity of us all.

Again, I offer you all a sincere welcome as you gather here at Peavey Plaza to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day.
