Russia: Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day in St. Petersburg (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) May 13 is World Falun Dafa Day, as well as the birthday of revered Falun Dafa founder Master Li Hongzhi. The Falun Gong practitioners in St. Petersburg gathered at South Beach Park near Finland Bay to celebrate this grand event.

Exercise demonstration

A new practitioner who had only been cultivating for three months, said that although the period of her cultivation has been short, learning Falun Gong and practicing the exercises had already brought about great changes in her mind and body. Therefore she attended the World Falun Dafa Day activity with gratitude to Master.

Truth-clarification poster catches the attention of many passers-by

On the weekend, the sky was blue and the air was pure in the park. The Falun Gong practitioners used loudspeakers to tell passers-by of the origin of World Falun Dafa Day, wore traditional Chinese exercise suits to demonstrate the beautiful and peaceful Falun Gong exercises to the people, and disclosed the brutal persecution against practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party. Two young practitioners who graduated from ballet school performed an original dance to celebrate this day and to thank Master for his mercy.

The picture exhibition boards and banners attracted many tourists. Many people listened to practitioners tell them about the persecution and signed their names on the petition to support the campaign against the persecution. Two young men who were not Falun Gong practitioners also helped to hold the banners.
