Taiwan: Practitioners Appeal to City Council and Protest CCP's Atrocities (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) During the past two months, the atrocities of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) wit respect to organ removal from living Falun Gong practitioners in concentration camps for profit and cremation of their bodies to destroy evidence were exposed. To help more people know the evil nature of the CCP and stop its crimes, on May 18, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners in Chiayi appealed to the city council. City council members Chai Wen-hsu and Fu Da-wei accepted the petition letter. Director of city council Deng Ching-tien said that it would be reviewed by the process committee and transferred to the central government. Many media covered the event on spot.

City council member Chai Wen-hsu said that basic human rights and religious belief cannot be deprived. These are universal values. He wished that via media, all circles would be called on to condemn CCP's inhuman atrocities.

Practitioners said that the CCP had persecuted Falun Gong for seven years. At least 2893 practitioners have been tortured to death and hundreds of thousands imprisoned, beaten, or forced to leave home. Many are missing and no one knows their whereabouts. In March this year, several witnesses testified to media that the CCP set up a secret concentration camp in Sujiatun, Shenyang and imprisoned 6000 practitioners for live organ removal. Their bodies were cremated to destroy evidence. Similar crimes are occurring in labor camps and prisons throughout China.

The practitioners emphasized that the CCP hastens to conduct organ transplantation to eliminate evidence. Such killing of Falun Gong practitioners is really an inhuman genocide. On May 4, 2006, the Chiayi city council passed a resolution to "condemn the CCP's atrocities against Falun Gong and call on the international community to stop the CCP's crimes." The practitioners further asked the city council to pass another proposal to rescue the practitioners facing the immediate danger of being killed in China.

The practitioners said that during recent weeks they visited city council members and explained to them the facts of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. The city council members were shocked at the CCP's brutal atrocities and expressed their support against the persecution.

The content of the petition letter of the Chiayi practitioners was as follows:

1. Calling on United Nations, International Red Cross and World Health Organization to thoroughly investigate the CCP's atrocities in concentration camps, labor camps, and related hospitals in organ transplantation.

2. Calling on international human rights organization to thoroughly investigate the persecution of Falun Gong and stop the CCP's crimes.

3. Calling on the government to pay attention to the live organ removal issue and urge the international community to pay attention to the CCP's violation of human rights.

4. Hoping government will widely inform citizens that organ transplants in mainland China involve illegal live organ removal and there is a safety concern. The CCP should state the source of organs to safeguard medical quality and life safety to pay attention to basic human rights and health.
