City of Melville Saskatchewan Incorporated August 1, 1960 Office of the City Manager Proclamation "Falun Dafa Month Honoring Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" Whereas Falun Dafa practitioners are joyously celebrating the 14th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public on May 13, 2006, with festivals and events to be held across Canada and worldwide; and Whereas Falun Dafa is an advanced exercise and meditation practice of mind, body, and spirit based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance; and Whereas more men and women of Canada are learning the practice and purifying their hearts, energizing their bodies, and striving to create virtuous communities; and Whereas Falun Dafa's contribution to society has been widely recognized and honored around the world since Mr. Li Hongzhi introduced it to the public in 1992; and Whereas Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries and contributes to the universal dream of a peaceful, tolerant, and more compassionate society; and Whereas Falun Dafa practitioners' determination and courage to stand up for Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance while facing severe persecution from the Chinese Communist Party has shown the world the value of life and the preciousness of human dignity; Now, Therefore, I, W. Rieger and the Council of Melville do hereby proclaim May 2006 as "Falun Dafa Month Honoring Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and extend our warm greetings and congratulations to all attendees of the 2006 Canada Experience Sharing Conference.
