The letter said: "City Council considered the matter at a meeting held April 10, 2006 and adopted the following resolution: 'That the City of Oshawa write to the Prime Minister urging the Canadian government to take immediate actions to rescue the surviving Falun Gong practitioners who face danger of being killed at any time and protect the rights of those in China.' "
